Having a mother born in the UK probably gave me genes that yearn for sea food. When my body craves fish and chips (which is often) my family and I head to Anchor Fish and Chips. The restaurant is located in an interesting, artsy kind of neighborhood in Minneapolis.
The portions are plentiful, the fish is delicious and the chips are thick and nicely chewy. They supply vinegar! Real British or Irish Pubs will do that.
I should also mention that their Shepherd's Pie is exquisite. I must confess, I have often visited the Anchor with the intention of enjoying this meal but invariably get seduced by the fish and chips.
This is the real deal and you will do your taste buds a favor (I typed "flavor" first) by stopping by for a bit of their fare. You will not be disappointed.
