“Attend DCI Drum and Bugle Competition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Seats were comfortable. Security/search upon entrance. Arm band to leave. Then could bring in whatever you wished. Beverages and food pricy.

“Wonderful times here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Gorgeous campus, great sports programs & events, vast array of campus eateries - and DINKYTOWN. Almost every campus has a street like this and UWMs is truly fun. My son went to college here, so I have a soft spot in my heart for this campus.

“Underrated quality in a valuable urban setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Minnesota has a typically lovely college campus feel but coupled with views of downtown Minneapolis and all that a major city can offer. When the light rail link is finished, it will be seamlessly linked to downtown and further south. Education-wise, the U of M provides a challenging course load but makes great efforts to assist students along the way. Big Ten sports are enthusiastically followed by Gopher fans. Just walking around campus and nearby Dinkytown, it's easy to get the positive feel students have for the school. Our daughter is here and having a great experience so far. Great value for a top-notch education.

“Beautiful campus, vast with lots going on - Just a mile from DT Mpls.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

A great place to see the local landscape / geography. The East Bank (campus - older- is seperated from Th East Bank campus by the Mighty Mississippi. The West Bank is new, modern and contempory. Where the 60's 'Hippies" and anti-war movement planted roots. Neighborhood is still very Boheimian, expcet fo modern university buildings. Home of vast and vaired ethnic restaurants and shops. Home to the Music and Performance Art Schools. *Great perormance opportunities at CHEAP $! Especially during the summer, 10 day Twin Cities Fringe Festival. 100's of venues and performace opportunity for cheap. Avante-gaurd to comody to serious drama... and all sourounded by great pre or post theatre restaurants. Mostlycasual, and very affordible.
Large East Banks is decidedly more traditional architecture...escept for the VERY modern Wiesman Museum. Worth a visit!
The Eat bank is the center for on and off campus housing. The large Asian student population brings with it wonderful, affordable Asian and S.E. Asian restaurants...all on the cheap!
Take a walk accross the inter campus bridge (about 1 mile) high above the Mississippi for spectacular vistas, or walk along West River Drive... on bluffs high above the river.
Spend a few hours, or many.

“Great education, beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

When our son transferred to the U of MN, we were a bit afraid that he would not like the large size of the campus nor the large classes. He LOVES it! The professors are great (our son is a sophomore) and the TA's seem quite capable. Go Gophers!
