“Wonderful older neighborhood theater”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Love the Riverview! It is very near my home. Popcorn is the best in the Twin Cities. Great variety of movies. Value is the best.

“We LOVE this theater!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

This is my favorite theater to go to. The prices are great! And the popcorn with real butter can't be beat. My husband and I can get our tickets, popcorn & pop for the price of one ticket at another theater. The theater has a retro vibe and the seating room is HUGE which means you may end up sitting back farther than you are used to in other theaters, but 5 minutes into the movie and you don't notice it anymore.

“The Classic Bargain Matinee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

The Riverview is a classic 1950's movie theatre where I'd go as a kid to see the latest horror movie. Today, top features only weeks from the expensive, mega-screen complexes - as well as indie films and special broadcasts - are the main stock of Riverview's offerings. Tickets are usually $3 for most showings, and a bucket of the very best popcorn and a drink is only 5 bucks! New seats, throughout, including one extra deep row where you can literally stretch out are comfortable. The back half of the rows rise up from the main floor in a cresting wave of seats - that manage to fill up because of the value of tickets, movies offered and, of course, that incredible popcorn! The Riverview Theater is a classy neighborhood landmark offering one of the best venues for film watching in the Twin Cities.

“Best price in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

This theatre is the old fashioned big screen and seating. If only you can wait for the new movies to hit this place its worth it!!! Theres a Great coffee/wine bar across the street that has live bands on weekends thats amazing!! Highly recommend it!

“Neat little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Sure its second run movies, but its a bargan and a fun atmosphere. It feels like your being transported to a simpler time and the retro deco is a fun way to experience the movies. Who cares if the seats aren't stadium seats, or a huge theater of people...the popcorn and snacks are cheap and you can get out of there without having to pay the 1000% markup on everything.
