“Great for conferences”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I stayed in this hotel for a confernce. It has great and convenient location. The closest hotel to convention center, and adjacent to restaurants and bars, and with skywalk to convention center and most other major buildings in downtown. Hilton quality of lobby and decoration. The only concern I have is the room size. I booked a two-bed room and expected a room with two queen size beds, but only have two full size beds becasue the room is not large enough.

Attended a conference at the hotel. Had a standard 2 queen room. Room was clean with nice decor. Beds were not that comfortable and pillows way to fluffy. Front desk and service staff were very attentive and extremely helpful. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Hilton Minneapolis for a conference in Sept. Would recommend it as the downtown location is excellent, close to the Nicollet Mall and many fine restaurants. It's easy to get to museums and other attractions and easy to get onto the highways. We had a nice room on the 11th floor, facing Marquette Avenue with an unobstructed view of downtown and the light show on a neighboring office building. Front desk staff are OK and recommend asking another staff member if not satisfied with a reply.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor with view to Marquette Avenue

Nice hotel within walking distance of a few nice pubs. I would recommend the self parking on the back side of the building. I had a philly sandwich for lunch. No salt and pepper on the table. The sandwich had more onions than meat.

Spent a week here while attending a conference. Enjoyed the large room and comfortable bed, large bathroom, flat screen tv--all the usual amenities of a Hilton, in tip-top shape. Glad I was paying the conference rate. Great staff; everyone so friendly and helpful. Meeting facilities were very good, and the hotel restaurant is excellent, though overpriced as hotel restaurants usually are. Still, the food was delicious and the servings were generous. Beautiful lobby and public areas. Within walking distance of everything in the downtown, and just a block from the Nicolett Mall.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views. Stay away from the elevators and noisy ice machines. West side has...

I would recommend a visit to Minneapolis and a stay at the Hilton Hotel. My room was comfortable; staff were helpful; facilities accommodate large conferences such as the one I attended for 650. The hotel is well located, making it easy to use public transportation to go to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the University of Minnesota campus, and on and on. I travelled from the airport on the light rail, arriving on a Thursday afternoon to discover a wonderful farmers' market on Niccolet Mall, half a mile from the hotel itself. Ask for help: Minnesotans are friendly and kind and graciously show hospitality. Oh, and don't miss a walk on the Skyway.

Renovated baths and fabulous beds, this older hotel is quite doable. Conference price of $178 is a good break from the usual price, but it is higher than I woul expect for this location. Cute personality, though. Friendly greetings from employees at every level. Business area in rooms is perfectly well set up. Wifi sometimes disappears for a second, but it wasn't a real problem. I would choose this hotel again!

Room Tip: Executive corner rooms have huge windows on two adjacent walls, revealing the cityscape!
