“Beautiful Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

I stayed here for a wedding so got the wedding price, which is much cheaper than their advertised price.

The hotel was very nice. The valet parking is expensive, $30 a day. The staff was all very nice and friendly.

A couple going to the wedding came a night early due to flights. The price the hotel gave was $100 more expensive than the wedding discount we were getting. So he went on Priceline and did a $99/night in a 4 star hotel in downtown Minneapolis and got the Hotel Minneapolis so don't pay the price they advertise!

This hotel is very well located in Minneapolis. The facilities in the hotel and the rooms are excellent. The service was excellent and the staff always helpful. Considering the price we paid the quality of the room was fantastic.

Room Tip: some views are not great

THE Hotel Minneapolis will make a great first impression. The lobby of the hotel is gorgeous -- very chic with great colors and sheer fabric panels sweeping floor to ceiling that serve as area dividers. The staff made check-in pleasant, although our travelling companions checked in with a staff member that asked what size bed they preferred while we did not get asked that question. Our travelling companions' room was about twice the size of ours even though we made our reservations at the same time and paid the same price. Our room was still lovely, but it felt like we were staying in a closet. I would advise that you clarify with the front desk staff and ask for a larger room if they have availability.
The greatest part of this hotel was the valet parking. They offer 24 hour valet-parking with unlimited in and out for a very fair flat fee. The valets are incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. They helped us out-of-towners find our way around each day of our vacation. We would have, literally, been lost without them. Thank guys!
The restaurant was closed for a wedding reception and the bar closed early so we were unable to check them out. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay even though the hotel was under construction.

Room Tip: Clarify with the front desk staff which type of room you have and ask if you can have an upgrade to...

The hotel was super chic, sophisticated, clean and really well decorated. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The bar and the gym were both good options to have on site and their hours of operation were quite suitable. I loved the concierge lounge and the complimentary wine each evening. The hotel overall was in a good location but a little far from the convention center. An enjoyable stay indeed.

The hotel was very nice inside- great decor- had a computer/ lounge area that which was very convenient. Staff very helpful about getting us a cab when needed- on top of things- the attached restaurant has good food and great atmosphere as well. Complimenty tea and coffee in room- huge glass shower- could fit five people in there if you wanted to. The only complaint was the room was super cold when we got there- took a while to get it to the temp we wanted and the sheets/comfortable were a little thin and awkward- overall fun stay.

I recently stayed at The Hotel Minneapolis for a bachlorette party and shower. The suite we were originally booked in and having the shower in was occupied by an athlete that refused to check out. The staff was unbelievable in getting us a different room and they allowed us to use the concierge room. They were incredibly accomodating...they even came up and helped us open a bunch of wine! Elijah, who is one of the head valet guys was amazing, so was Jay. The rooms are very nice. The location is great for getting around anywhere downtown. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. From start to finish it was an A+ in my book.

Got a sweet Priceline express deal and was pleased to see it was for the Hotel Minneapolis, which I've wanted to try. They gave me a king bed in a large room. The toiletries were refreshing. Everything was super clean. Don't use their valet parking - there are other cheaper garages nearby. The lobby has nice Macs you can use with free Internet there (not free in the rooms), and in case you aren't aware, Macs will let you use Windows if you have to. Nice modern decor. I would definitely return and recommend!
