Owner description: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is one of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, uniting two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. The 11-acre site showcases more than 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s renowned collection. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for visitors, who enjoy not only the art but also the seasonal displays in the Cowles Conservatory and the Alene Grossman Memorial Arbor and Flower Garden.

“Art al Fresco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

How on earth could anyone dislike the ability to wander around beautiful landscapes filled with interesting artwork? This garden is amazing... it has a great number of sculptures, and they are all unique from each other. They range in gigantic to small, and the entire place can be digested in a morning or afternoon. Obviously weather can affect your visit, but it is a perfect place to bring out-of-towners and families with kids who appreciate art. Not to be missed!

“Fun place to stroll on summer day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Great place to stroll about on a nice day, get outside after lots of business meetings. Sculptures add a touch of interest, art gallery a few metres away also worth a visit. Do both!

“Fabulous spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

It doesn't take Claude Monet to figure out what the high point of the Walker Art Center is. You are looking at it.

We dropped by the place late on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The place was crowded with people, enjoying the sculpture park (the art gallery had already closed, but this was what we came to see).

There are several striking pieces on the ground, including an iconic work of a spoon with a cherry on the end. (Trust me, it's striking - look at the picture at the heading of this page for an idea.) Walking around the place is a great exprience, a highlight of any visit to the Twin Cities.

While we were there, the museum had a special display as artists used their imaginations to create miniature golf holes. It's a case of imagination gone wild, as pipes and bumpers go in all sorts of directions. There was an hour and 45 minute wait to get on the course - call it a bag line, if you'd like - so we didn't make it.

Buffalo definitely needs to do something like this on a grand scale.

“Very nice walk”

Very nice walk in this garden with very nice sculptures, I should add the fact that it is free! You can easily spend 30 minutes to an hour here.

“So Relaxing.... AND FREE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

The best sculpture was the spoon and cherry but there are other good sculptures there as well. The best part of the garden was that I was able to get some awesome pictures of my wife and kids as the sun was going down. There were lots of baby photographers and wedding photographers around and many different backdrops to choose from with the sculptures. Great place for a romantic walk and snuggle on a park bench, or a place to let children run off energy. On a side note, the port-a-potty in the parking lot was the cleanest I've ever been in.
