Owner description: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is one of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, uniting two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. The 11-acre site showcases more than 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s renowned collection. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for visitors, who enjoy not only the art but also the seasonal displays in the Cowles Conservatory and the Alene Grossman Memorial Arbor and Flower Garden.

“A great public playground”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a wonderful space for people to congregate and play together. The sculptures invite interaction, and it was refreshing to see adults climbing into and over works of art just as happily as their children. The conservatory had some lovely plants as well as sculpture, and was especially welcome on a cooler afternoon. Even on an autumn day, there were plenty of people enjoying the park.

“unique Garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Went here only for about 15 mins or less, just to take a pic with the spoon & cherry. Lots of sculpture within a mini maze.

“A Great Outdoors City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

For outdoors lovers, Minneapolis is the place. Here's a great day: Take a morning walk (or jog, skate, bike or just drive) around Lake Harriet (about three miles), pick up a lunch for a picnic on Lake Calhoun (Whole Foods and other options are nearby), and then visit the Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden has items that are informative, fun, thought-provoking, and gorgeous.
