We were coming back to Mpls after a two week vacation in South Carolina (we had travelled for 11 hours this day). We needed to stay in Mpls for one night before heading back to Canada. I had phoned the hotel directly two days earlier to reserve a room with two queen beds (we are two adults, two teenage daughters)... I was very specific about the queen beds because I was tired of sleeping in hotels with doubles. When we arrived the desk clerk was very friendly and quick. We got the room key, parked the car, unloaded all our stuff, walked into our room... surprise! it's a room with 1 king, no sofa bed. I went back to the desk and told them they made a mistake. He said "Sorry we have no other rooms but we can give you some extra blankets for the kids to sleep on the floor" What? I asked for cots but they didn't have those either. The thing that ticked me off was that the desk clerk saw us all walk in together... he knew there were four of us and still didn't warn us that we only had a king room. Only after all the work of moving our stuff in, then complaining to him did he admit that the room he gave us wasn't what we had reserved. Needless to say we packed up and moved on. Don't take my reservation if you can't give me what I asked for!!!

While on a college tour, I spent several nights here with my oldest daughter. I selected the hotel because of the very favorable Trip Advisor reviews. We were very pleased with this hotel and recommend it highly. It is in a beautiful suburb of Minneapolis, about 20 minutes from the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus and the heart of downtown. Very large and comfortable rooms, new and attractive furnishings, and generally upscale decor.

Good choice and great value in the Minneapolis area. Also, for a terrific breakfast, check out the Original Pancake House restaurant next to the hotel. Outstanding as well.

I have stayed all over plymouth and maple grove, eight trips this year alone. First time here at the Hilton Garden though. The location is much better than the Radisson and the beds are 100x better than the Northland. The rooms are good size, everything is clean and new. The service was excellent and I made use of the 'pantry' in the lobby.
It is a short highway drive to arbor lakes for food, but again much closer than the Radisson.
No complaints, very nice hotel!

I have spent 10 of the past 25 nights in hotels and this was by far my best stay. From check in to check out...everything was a 10. The front desk staff was super, the room was quiet, clean and very comfortable, the restaurant was very convenient!

I wish all of my stays were this wonderful! As a business traveler, I vote for the Hilton Garden Inn! I will stay here again, if in the area!
