“Child friendly and perfect for beach lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We've recently returned from a 1 week stay at Arte & Mare Suites and had such a great stay in their family suite which provided ample room for my husband, myself and our 2 children.

The Suites are steps away from the gorgeous sandy beach which offered the perfect setting for our rugrats to run around and have fun. The beach is sandy (the longest on the island) but does have pebbles especially in the waters so watch your feet! The beach service is fantastic although pricey (we picked up multiple bottles of water from a mini market to save on cost) and as we were guests of the Suites we were able to nab the front row which offered super views and sun. The crowd too is by far the most friendly we've ever encountered and made many friends and contacts for the evenings we wanted to go out.

The food in the restaurant attached to the Suites is good (they offer a varied breakfast and the staff were really accommodating of the children) but we preferred the Elia restaurant for lunch which is slightly further up the beach (it gets busy around 3pm when everyone breaks for lunch) as the food was much more Mediterranean and much better priced.

The Suites itself has a gorgeous sea water pool and super comfy loungers that face into the sun (also offers shade if you prefer) and the staff were incredibly helpful especially when we needed to take our youngest to the doctor, translating where required.

The taxi situation isn't great but that's because there's only one firm on the island and not the fault of the Suites. We wanted to go out every night (the Suites kindly arranged a babysitter for us every evening - Despina who was incredible and our kids took to her so well) so we took the private number of a cabby on the first night and paid slightly more to be sure to get back. You can also get a ride into town from the Suites' mini bus which takes 3 trips into town and back each day.

Overall we were thoroughly happy with our stay and couldn't fault the customer service. Thanks to everyone at Arte & Mare who made our stay so welcoming.! xx

Room Tip: We stayed in 102 which is a family suite with two rooms - we put the children in both rooms and we s...

I've contemplated a few days about my review for this property. The main reason for my one star review - I booked a jr pool suite 6 months in advance for my stay in Mykonos as I wanted these few nights to just sit back and relax next to the pool and a stones throw from the beach - however when we arrived we were told our room was not available. Pre paid and all. Through emails with the property to arrange transfers I was never told this in advance - It was thrown at me upon arrival at the front desk.

After reading " several " other reviews from others that this has happened too - I've come to this conclusion. Maria ( very nice and helpful ) has to come up with a reason to why this happened ( I'm sure her boss whom I never met lays down the dirty work for Maria to complete ). The reason we were given ( due to a flight cancelation other guests had to extend their stay. My question which I never got a straight answer - Why not move those guests and let the new arriving guests in their room???

I was given two options - one night in an upgraded room ( wasn't all that much of an upgrade as air conditioner had a tooth pick holding it together and the shower had a trickle of water. It had a bath tub - probably would take 3-4 hours to fill up had we wanted to take a bath. I booked a jr pool suite because that's what I wanted but never got. After night one we had to move 1/2 mile up the hill to their sister property. I negotiated a car rental as we had to be able to get around since the property had no amenities for food. My other option was two nights at the sister property.

In conclusion although Maria was very nice - After reading several reviews this is a normal and occurring factor at this property.

Back to the property. The Jr. pool suite - not private at all!!!! Every guest and worker coming and going walk between your outdoor space and the pool.

In conclusion - next time I visit Mykonos I will stay near town and rent a car or take the boat from town to the beaches. If you book this hotel - be ready for the bait and switch. They double book to make the maximum amount of money possible. After seeing the property - the rates are way too high and not worth it. Oh yeah - wifi sucks!!!

We stayed 8 nights at this great hotel! A very nice driver picked us up at the airport and a 20 minute drive later we were at the hotel. Even though check in wasn't until 3 pm, we already got the room at 9 am!
Each morning we were met by the friendly staff at breakfast. The breakfast was excellent!
The beach is right across the street, and sunbeds and towels are included.
Our room was very big and clean, and the bathroom was modern and very nice.
There is a free shuttle going to and from Mykonos town several times a day, which is great!
The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and the staff is extremely friendly.
Overall we really enjoyed staying at this excellent hotel and would recommend it to everyone!

Greetings from Turkey.
We stayed 07 days in Arte&Mare . When we arrived in Mykonos, shuttle driver was waiting at the airport for us. Hotel's location is 20 minutes from town center.

Everything was planned before our arrival. Normally our room was a juniour süite but Maria (who helped us with turning our holiday from normal to excellent!!!) has upgraded our room into a big family süite for 04 people. It was an excellent suprise for us. Whatismore Maria helped us to rent a car with a low cost.

Not only Maria, all hotel staffs were very nice, cherful and kind.
Especially Romina Stramarkou from restaurant, Romina and Adridua meet you with their smiling face every morning.

Hotel is near to the beach (walking distance 01-02 minute). No need to pay for extra umbrella and sun bed (normally it is 12EUR per person) on the beach. Breakfasts are ok, reservation department and spa staff are also nice. Peggy, Spyridoula and Ageliki were ready in case of guests any request. I strongly recommend you to stay in this hotel If you are going to Mykanos.

Maria and Romina you were an angel and you are the best. I am planning to come next year with my girlfriend for our honeymoon.

Room Tip: Try to book family or executive süite those have 02 bathrooms.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a great news of an upgrade to a presidential suite for our 2 night stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Gave us a map, suggested places to go and hotel has a free shuttle service to town, which was nice since it is about a 20 minute ride and could become costly with a taxi, around 20 Euro. The beach area was very clean and we were literally few steps away from Ellia beach. Overall highly recommended accomodation at this location, very relaxing and amazing views.

we had such a lovely time at the resort. The hotel staff were brilliant and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The beech was kept very clean and tidy, though the prices of the food were a little bit high.

We stayed 3 nights in early May with our 2 toddlers. We got there and found they had upgraded our room! So Sweet of them. They were all so friendly and attentive. We were there just before tourist season, so all but one night, we were the only ones there! This was perfect for us. Having just toured Athens, we wanted to rest. The rooms are clean and large. The 4 of us had plenty of space. The views were amazing. I loved being right on the beach. And it felt very secluded.
The food was fabulous! Amazing breakfast and dinner. They even made us chocolate cake from scratch when we were wanting some dessert. We rented a car the whole time. We enjoyed being able to come and go at any time. (We also had car seats for the kids) The drive into town is not bad at all.
If you are thinking of staying here, do it. You will not be disappointing. If we ever return to Mykonos, we will be staying here!

Room Tip: Love having the ocean view. Sunsets from the balcony!
