“Quiet, clean & good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

We have stayed at the Guest Hus several times. It has always been very clean and well taken care of. It's close to the downtown for easy walking. The beds are the best along with the quiet area and easy car parking. We would recommend it to everyone.

We stayed at the Guest Hus a short time ago for a family reunion. It was very accommodating, clean, and perfect for our needs. We loved the quiet around us and it was convenient for shopping and sightseeing around Lanesboro. We would recommend this motel to all travelers who appreciate the comforts of home when traveling.

It was a wonderful place to stay. I would recommend this motel to my friends visiting this area. The price is very good if you are on a traveling budget. It was very clean & comfortable. Not far from down town Lanesboro; to restaurants & the bike trail.

I've stayed in many B&B in the Lanesboro area for the past 10 years, and this by far is the best one. The service was amazing, and the amenities were great! It was conveniently located in the town! I would recommend staying here to any of my close friends and family!

My wife and I took our baby son overnight on a Sunday. We had the entire place to ourselves. We saw a room at a much more "upscale" and more expensive location, and that room was actually smaller than the one we had at Guest Hus for half the cost. My guess is that the breakfast bar at the expensive place wasn't worth the higher cost either. We had everything we needed and had our own breakfast in the common room--which I already mentioned we had to ourselves. This place is OK with kids and pets. They don't take credit cards which is no problem if you know that in advance.

Good value hotel. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Nice amenities of bike storage, cute patio and place to build a fire. It is located at a busy intersection so traffic noises at all hours. About a mile from downtown Lanesboro. Bring check or cash as they don't take credit cards.

We stayed at the Guest Hus Motel over Labor Day weekend. We went mainly to enjoy the beautiful Root River Bike Trail. The Guest Hus Motel is very conviently located. You can ride your bikes to town or to the head of the bike trail. We stayed in the Pensylvania Dutch Room. We found the room to be very clean. The room was large enought for a single cot to be setup as well. The door to our room was on the outside, right outside the parking area, so did not bother other guests with our coming and going. You also recieve a key to a shed for you to lock your bikes up. I beleive the Guest Hus Motel is under new management. Our checkout was on Monday and the owner allowed us to leave our stuff in the room until we were done riding for the day as there was no other reservations for that room for that evening. This was very kind and allowed us to enjoy the day on the bike trail knowing that our belongings were in our room and not in the back of our truck.
