We came in late at around 9pm and left the next morning so we didn't get a chance to experience the on-site activities. It's the closest campground to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

Had to stay in the area for a few days b/c of a family emergency and really wish we didn't. To begin with the office is really smelly (Diapers? Cat litter box?) and the showers & restrooms are filthy. There IS a pool but the dark ring of dirt around it and murky water is a little off-putting. Sites are small and close together (our fire ring was 4 feet from another camper and we had a truck parked about 5 feet from our picnic table). Also there are quite a few people that appear to live here and that's not so pleasant for a family.. They put us on that side instead of what appeared to be a more family-friendly with a playground...maybe it would have been better if they did.
This campground did all they could to make our family reunion a success. We all enjoyed the facilities, cleanliness and overall setting. The grounds are beautiful, the sites are practical and well kept and the location is ideal. Adults can enjoy camping while kids are entertained with activities including pool and hayrides. The owners Kim and John did all they could to make this special weekend one to remember, and also balanced the needs of all guests.
