“Serene stay away from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

A quick trip to Minnesota for only 2 nights. The Historic Hutchinson House Bed and Breakfast was recommended. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Tami and Doug were great hosts and the breakfast on the weekends is excellent. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable, Tami and Doug are the 7th owners and the 2nd to operate the house as a B&B. The history of the house was very interesting as well. Great place to stay. Their dog Butler was very friendly to strangers.

Room Tip: Choose a room with an attached bathroom.

“The Cutest and most Charming B & B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

The hosts were so accommodating. We requested an early check in and they were so gracious to accept our request. The room was great and the jet tub was absolutely incredible!
The breakfast was delicious, but not as filling as other B & B's. The conversations with fellow guests was so enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this B & B to our friends.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our stay in Dr. Hennley's room because it was to be the coolest room in the house, ho...

“Bautiful house, Great experience!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hutchinson House while visiting Faribault for 3 nights for a wedding. Tami was so gracious and the breakfasts were truly amazing. We will be contacting Tami to get some of her recipes (highly recommend the scones!!!). The rooms were large and VERY clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The house was very quiet, we could not even hear the other guests. Tami and Doug provided an excellent resource on places to eat and things to do around Faribault during the rest of the day. The location of the house made going to "downtown" Faribault very easy (just a few blocks away, within a 5 minute walk). Overall, we would VERY highly recommend the Hutchinson House as a great B&B!

“Worth the trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

My husband and I were planning a trip to the Twin Cities. We found The Hutchinson House in Fairbault to be an excellent alternative to staying in St. Paul or Minneapolis. We found fun things to do in Fairbault including biking and exploring the shops on the main drag. A trip to St. Paul was an easy drive and only about 40 minutes away. The Hutchinson House was a welcome retreat for us at the end of the day. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Most importantly, Tami and Doug were perfect hosts. It was great to have someone to ask about local attractions or good places to eat. Wonderful trip, wonderful people.

“An oasis in Minnesota”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

We spent three wonderful days at this B&B. The service was outstanding. The breakfasts were awesome and the room excellent. I would recommend that anyone traveling in the area of Faribault stay here. We were in town to do family research. The proprietor was most helpful in sending us in the right direction.
