We're big fans of Beaujo's. When needing a quiet evening (or even an after-evening) on our own just to sit and chat, we'll often head there. Broad, diverse selection of excellent and often uncommon reds, whites and dessert wines by the glass which, for the quality and amount you get, are fairly reasonably priced (not sure other reviewers complaining about the cost have figured in the quality). Very cozy and conducive to quiet conversation, whether the discussion is romantic, household, or "what did you like about the movie" in nature (and we've done them all). It's a wine bar first and foremost, so lighter meals are the order of the day -- they're intended to complement the wine, not vice versa (the cheese and salami plate is particularly terrific).
