“Decent hotel, great breakfast”

The hotel itself is quite reasonable for a place to sleep for the night. Clean, friendly service, near freeway, basically all one could ask for in a basic hotel.

What sets it apart, however, is the breakfast. We're not talking an all-too typical stale croissants and warmed over scrambled eggs. No, this is a Real Breakfast, with fresh cooked omelettes, french toast, etc. They often offer specials in which the breakfast is just a couple extra dollars. Good deal.

“Great Rooms”

This Hotel was fantastic! I was here with my famlily (wife daughter and son). This hotel is a little too fancy for familys but my wife wanted to stay here and we found a great deal online. The rooms are large and very well cleaned. If you smoke you have to pay $250 extra for the hotel staff to do a deep cleaning. My whole family went in the pool. And it was a cleen area. They never ran out of towels, and they had plenty of chairs. The staff was friendly too. When we got lost we called for directions and they helped us quickly. The room serves was fantastic, rooms were always clean. When we accidently left the "Do Not Disturb" sighn on the door the whole day, they left us a note saying we did so.
The only down side is the floor in the pool area. It's some kind of tile and it's very slippery. My daughter was wearing flip-flops and the almost fell face first. She was only walking to a chair and she hadn't even been in the pool yet. My son slipped and landed in the pool, luckily it was only the pool not the hard tile floor.
Another bad thing was that they didn't have a free breakfast in the morning. You had to pay about $10 for adult and $5 for kids.

Over all it was a GREAT stay!!!

“A Business Hotel for Wedding Reception? The Unbelievable Truth”

Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Eden Prairie

Jan 10, 2007

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Minnetonka Hilton Garden Inn, in August, 2006. A longtime resident of Minnetonka, I had known about the Hilton Garden Inn, but had never been inside until this summer. All I can say is this hotel was tremendous, from start to finish.

Not many people would consider holding their wedding reception in a business hotel, but for our small wedding (46 guests), it was the best decision we made. I planned the entire wedding and reception from abroad, and so needed quite a bit of assistance from their event planner. From day one, she was available, courteous, and most importantly, patient (we all know how brides can be). Arriving in town only one week before the wedding, she worked with me, along with the culinary staff, to put together the final pieces. The banquet room was small, but perfect for what we required.

Because we were planning a wedding at a hotel that typically caters to the business traveler, we received some unexpected perks. Our guests—from out of town and out of country—enjoyed reduced weekend rates. We received prompt attention and service from the staff. And finally, we were able to use the room longer than usual, since there were no bookings on the day before (or after) our event, and only paid for the booking on the day of the actual event (for a miniscule $100). They also have the lowest food and beverage minimum in town. The Hilton’s flexibility was great. The room was set up and ready to go *an unbelievable* 24 hours before our event.

For the few problems we did have, the Manager offered a few of our guests a free stay, which we appreciated very much.

I would suggest this hotel to anyone—business traveler and tourist—alike. The food—especially the buffet items from the in-house caterers—is second-to-none. The rooms are beautiful, quiet, and the beds! they are the most comfortable I have ever slept in at a hotel. The pool was a great add-on for our younger guests.

All in all, it exceeded our expectations. 10/10.

“A GREAT Hotel for the Business Traveler”

What a pleasant experience! From beginning to end! I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-June for business reasons. Rooms very spacious, CLEAN, and well-suited for the business traveler. Rates were reasonable--especially in comparison to the quality. The features that impressed me were:

1. Hard-wired internet connectivity (CAT-5) so peak-usage times were not causing dropped bandwidth issues, as do many wireless internet options in hotels.

2. A nice desk from which to work. (Swivel TV nearby for breaks.)

3. Clean bathrooms & showers. Nice daily housekeeping.

4. MY FAVORITE FEATURE: Room-service w/o the traditional room-service rates! As a lone business person who travels frequently, I find that having to locate a restaurant, eat by one's self, and then head back to the room to do work is all-time-consuming! And it's awkward.

The Hilton Gardens offered very good meals in either their casual dining room (light and bright) or with room service from 4-9pm daily. Prices were the same in the dining room as they were for room service---and the selection was very good. (The linguini is excellent, by the way...) Room service no longer needs to be an unjustifiable luxury! The daily breakfast buffet ($9.99) with made-to-order items was also a treat.

Back to room-service: How wonderful to be able to eat in the privacy and comfort of your own room, continue to do work, and not have to feel guilty (or disallowed) from ordering off the room service menu due to cost! This hotel finally GETS what the business traveler needs---without punishing you further.

A nice business center and workout faciliites complemented my stay. Though I didn't have the need to use either, at first glance, they seemed very sufficient. A pantry off the lobby was also nice--you could purchase a variety of toiletries, snacks, etc. w/o scrounging for change at the vending machine. Free bottles of water (with room ticket), too. No more $4.99 bottles of water tempting you from the mini-bar!

I travel extensively for business---and if this hotel were an option in every city I needed to be, it'd book it every time. This was my first experience with Hilton Garden Inn and I was certainly impressed.

“Pleasant overnight stay at Hilton Garden Inn”

Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Eden Prairie

While on an overnight business trip, stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. I didn't get to sample the fare at the restaurant, but the room itself was very nice and quiet. My main comments are:
- the bed was very comfortable and though the pillows were great for reclining against the headboard to watch tv, they were a bit thick for sleeping.
- I had to keep the bathroom door closed as it opened outward (into the room) and was in the way of the main door.
- the shower didn't have a lot of pressure.

I would most certainly stay here again.
