“Quiet and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

The staff member who checked us in was very friendly, helpful, and informative. We were pleased with the modern room decor, comfort of the beds, and quiet hallways. We especially liked the notes that said that duvets and sheets are washed prior to each new guest's arrival. Our kids enjoyed the pool and we were pleased with the pool hours being 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Our room appeared quite clean in general, but we did find a used a make-up removing pad on the bathroom floor and we were given no shampoo. Though the breakfast area was crowded, the food choices were good and the quality of the food was better than expected. We also dined at the nearby microbrewy restaurant (just across the parking lot) and loved the food choices and quality of service. I'd definitely stay here again.

The Hampton Inn, Eagan, MN was in a very good location. About 5 minutes to the airport. Two restaurants were located across the parking lot, and a convenience store around the corner. Just a couple minutes away there are many restaurants, and a Walmart. The breakfast was good, and the rooms were nice as usual for a Hampton Inn.

Room quality is good, but we were staying on a layover and needed the shuttle, which unfortunately doesn't run all day. We had to leave the hotel at 10 a.m. for a flight that left at 2 p.m. If you need to use the shuttle, check that their service hours suit your needs. If not, it is over $25 in a taxi to the airport.

Clean room, easy to spend a few days before going home, after being on the road for two weeks. Pool is handy for exercise to stretch muscles. Nice variety on breakfast food from day-to-day. Only complaint: wish the armchair in room was designed for larger/taller people.

This is a clean Hampton that is fairly new, well managed, approximately 10-15 minutes from MSP airport. The facility works great because it is away from the Hilton properties near the Mall of America.
Rooms are a bit nicer and appear to be quieter than the standard Hampton offerings, traditional Hampton Inn breakfast, and not really close to any restaurants.

I will stay here again and the quality sound proofing makes most rooms fairly quiet. Depending on the wind, this facility is close to a flight path.

Room Tip: Due to the quality construction, it appears that most rooms are OK.

Green Features: I sure didn't see recycle bins/cans for plastic bottles, pop cans, or cereal boxes. That isn't uncommon for MN.

It was great to be able to get into the hotel when calling the same day. The staff was very accommodating. The lobby is beautiful and has a lot of room for adults to hang out. The only negative thing I have to say is the King bed room that we got on third floor had a smell to it. It was either smoke or a musty odor. I got used to it right away and it didn't bother the rest of my family, so I may have been more sensitive to it. Great location for baseball teams playing tournaments in Mendota Heights, only a couple miles from the fields.

First, they call this an airport hotel: it is not. They do not cater to the travelling public. After an 8 hour mechanical delay we found ourselves arriving a few minutes after minutes and when calling for the shuttle were told they stop at midnight to catch a cab. .Once the Airport cab driver was able to locate the Hotel on his GPS it was about $30.00 to the Hampton Inn. In the morning, we found out that the stop Shuttle service from 9 am until 4 pm during the day, Thus, if you thought you would save a few dollars at their hotel plan on adding an additional $60.00 to the price. Arriving in the room about 1 a.m. the situation deteriorated, I should have received a clue when I saw the threadbare sofa and the carpet that looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. I tried to turn on t he TV for some news and it would not work, then attempted to try the radio and again it would not work. At least the bed was comfortable and I was only awakened once by a car outside my window that was constantly running, but, since I was exhausted, I finally fell back to sleep. The Coffee in the morning was very good and there was a slim choice for a buffet breakfast including some mangled fruit. I think the next time I will stay at an Airport hotel that has a shuttle and might have better rooms

Room Tip: Try not to have a room on first floor on parking lot side, car motors seem to run all night.

Green Features: Don't know if they have any. and although you are telling me I have to read about their practices, it is telling me they are not available
