“Felt like my own apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

This place was a bit more outdated than some other Residence Inn's. However, the design of it was unique. It was condo/apartment style. I shared a 2 bedroom penthouse suite for a business trip. There was a spacious living room with fire place and kitchen/dining area. The kitchen was quite nice. There was a room downstairs with a door that you could shut and a bathroom. Upstairs it was a loft style with a bed, desk area, tv, and bathroom. I stayed in the loft area and slept great! The bed wasn't as comfortable as other Marriott's, but it was still nice. The property itself had a breakfast and dining area. There was nice outdoor seating throughout the property as well. Really close to great things like the Mall of America and airport. There was a free shuttle too.

Room Tip: I had a room on the upper floor and I am guessing that would be preferred for quiet.

Thank you so much for taking time to review the Residence Inn Eagan. We take pride in the fact that you considered this a home! The town of Eagan is wonderful because it is just about equidistant from downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul, the airport, and the Mall of America. The two bedroom penthouse is ideal for sharing because it is basically two rooms combined into one! Thank you again for taking time to review us and we hope to serve you again in the future!

I've stayed at quite a few different hotels and Residence Inns, yet this one seems the most like home. There are some flaws, mostly due to the age - but I'd be hard pressed to find a hotel I like better than this one.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the parking is ample and convenient, and the rooms have almost everything you need. Fast internet, full refrigerator, full stove, dishwasher, ceiling fan, two bathrooms in the larger suites, and a working fireplace!

It is different from most hotels in that the rooms are only able to be entered from the outside. The hotel is set up like a series of townhouses, which makes them more quiet but also makes the rooms a little more difficult to get to.

I found this hotel to be adequate. This was my third stay at a Residence Inn property. This one is designed differently from the others I have stayed at. The positives are numerous and I only found one negative. It is located less than 10 minutes from the MSP airport. It offers free hot breakfast. There is ample parking. The wifi works well and is free. The gym facility features 2 or 3 cardiovascular machines, a mat and light weights and is open 24 hours. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff was nice. The only negative is the stairs leading to the 2nd floor rooms are wooden, and you can hear the sound of feet pounding the stairs whenever there are little kids running up and down the stairs and on the landing. Otherwise it is a nice property.

We have stayed here many times and always are drawn back when we are in town. Being Thanksgiving weekend they were super busy and yet took time for each person that came through that door as if they were the only one there. Love the staff and the rooms are always clean and comfortable as they were this time as well. Has all the comforts of home including an oven big enough to cook the Thanksgiving Turkey. Thanks guys, you out did yourself again. :D

I have stayed at this Residence Inn a number of times. It is an older Residence Inn and is showing signs of wear and age. Still, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchens are well equipped. The internet service works very well. The staff members are skilled, personable, and responsive to guests' needs. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast daily. The weeknight "light suppers" are a bonus but not equivalent to what a competitor, Homewood Suites, provides. I recommend this Residence Inn and plan to stay here again.

Room Tip: You may prefer a first floor room if you have a lot of large luggage (no elevators).

We had a number of unrelated people traveling together And reserved their bilevel loft. The suite provided 3 different sleeping areas, a kitchen, 2 baths, and 2 tables/chair set ups that made the space really flexible for our weekend stay. We had several guests join us for an in suite dinner, and they were all accommodated quite nicely. And all of this at a price less than what I pay for a one bed room at this type of hotel. It is a little out of the way, but really only 8 miles from airport, so not a big deal. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Place was decently clean.

No big down sides, however breakfast was very ho-hum with not enough space for everyone to sit. Parking filled up too, but we found a place some distance away.

Room Tip: Top floor and away from desk for most privacy and noise reduction.

Guy's weekend to the Cities to catch a couple of Twins games. We always stay here because we like the "loft" suite with 3 separate sleeping areas (and 3 separate TV's)! This is an old-school Residence Inn that looks like an apartment complex from the outside. All the rooms open up to the outdoors, not a hallway. . Breakfast in the morning was above-average. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The décor could use some updating. Outdoor pool. Overall not a bad stay. one other note: Every time we stay here in the summer we notice a lot of spiders crawling around on the outside of the buildings, mainly up in the corners. I suppose it is hard to avoid this (and don't worry, they don't crawl inside the rooms!) But it would be nice if they'd go around and knock down the webs.

In regards to the spiders, we diligently work to keep our property pest free. Here are the hotel we have a pest elimination and prevention program in place, and we will review again with our staff.
Thank you again for your kind review, we look forward to serving you again in the future.
