The rooms are clean and the staff is great.

The property is also a great value. I love the free use of the washer and dryer.

From its curbisde appeal to the speedy checkout, the Staybridge Suites is a value-packed experience on a much grander scale than the paltry rates would indicate.

The property is newish and well-kept; both from a maintenance and housekeeping standpoint. The decor is muted and tatseful throughout, and provides a welcoming atmosphere for weekend families or week-long business stays. Each "room" is very roomy, even down to the "small" Queen bed studio confirguration (we comfortably housed three adults, a tween, and a child in one of the one-bedroom King rooms for a night before booking additional space for our unplanned-for companions). Even with the room full to the brim with guests, the property kept enough linens, pillows, and bedcoverings to outfit the sleeper bed without us needing to ask for more. The kitchen is not only ample, but fully equipped and stocked, down to dishwasher soap, dishsoap, kitchen linens, and seasonings for your in-room cooking. The property offers FREE guest laundry, and the 24-hour convenience mart in the lobby is compact, but well thought-out for provisions, including your purchase of laundry soap. The pool area is pleasant and provided plenty of fresh clean towels for guest use. I had been a bit concerned, as I'd read that a nearby property's pool was under renovation, so their guests were being allowed to use this site's, but we never experienced crowding. The daily hot breakfast buffet was satisfying, with a daily menu including the usual fruits, breads, cereals, juices, and make-your-own waffles, with a rotating addition of two hot items (such as bacon and mini cheese omlettes, or sausage patties and scrambled eggs). On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings the site offers a buffet of light meal items at 5:30, with daily selections such as tacos, bbq pork sandwiches, or ham and cheese croissants. The food additions definitely add to the value of this hotel chain, so be sure to plan not to miss them! The free wireless internet access was speedy and seemed fairly secure, so I had no need to evaluate the Business Center advertised. Check room rates throughout the week that you plan to stay, as this site's fees drop by almost half on weekends. Parking was a bit of a problem, and it was curious that we noted some vehicles parked over two spots (straddling the lines) that never moved over our four-day stay. The monitoring of those spot-hoggers would have been welcomed.

A couple of minor notes about this franchise's policies that you will want to be aware of before your stay: the housekeeping does come in daily for short stays (of under a week), but they pretty much just replenish towels (they did not vacuum, make beds, clean surfaces, nor even take the used towels out of the room). They have different policies (with even lesser housekeeping, it would seem) for those staying a week or longer, so you will want to know that you will be doing your own tidying up and light cleaning during your visit. This property is near (6 miles) to the Mall of America, and they do advertise free shuttle service, but the rules in the lobby show you willm need to have reserved for a ride (for each way) at least two hours in advance, and the bus does not run frequently (seem to be gaps of two hours between the runs), with the last ride at 9:30. Unless you are a careful planner and mindful of your mall-walking schedule, it may not prove convenient for early or late visitors, and not for spur-of-the moment jaunts.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, as it is beautifully-appointed for its type, and extremely economical when all factors are considered.

We have stayed at this hotel many times because of the proximity to the Mall of America, Ikea, Mystic Lake, restuarants we enjoy, and the airport. The rooms are always very clean, with a large seperate sink area, full sized refridgerator with an ice maker, free bag of popcorn, and many other great amenties. The staff at check-in and check-out is always great, and breakfast is too.

Our only minor issues is that there is no luggage rack(but there is plenty of dresser/closet space, we always stay only for a night), you have to enter a code for the internet everytime you want to get on in your room, and there could be some tabassco sauce near the eggs for breakfast. But all of those are very minor, and we enjoy our stay everytime.

Very nice. This is the second time we have stayed there. The one-bedroom suites are VERY roomy with a full kitchen and living room, separate bedroom. Vanity area is separate from the bathroom too. Pool water is nice and warm - pool and hot tub are big. Free breakfast has great selection and includes at least two hot items in addition to waffles each day. Highly recommend.
