I had points to use by the end of the year, and needed a "mini" vacation. The property doesn't take pets, so as pet owners we can't enjoy this for an extended stay. The check in was fast and friendly, and our request was for a Lake View with a balcony. The desk staff recommended 3rd floor for a better view, and she was right. Very clean (even saw housekeeping cleaning the tops of the vending machines). I stay in hotels approximately 50-60 nights per year (business and pleasure). This was by far one of the best experiences. Excellent hot breakfast selection, 2 hot tubs and swimming pool. Because it was a Sunday in December, we weren't "bothered" by crowds of "Marauding" children (much noisier than pets :0) They had checked out that morning!!!! We enjoyed the Bentleyville light display, and it was COLD (Duluth in December)...The Lake Walk is easily accessible from the dining area, and all Canal Park shops are a short walk away. Will definitely return when it's warmer and enjoy the walking without bundling up. Beds were comfy, room was very well maintained... on a scale of 1-5, it's A #6!!
