We book Savories in Nov 2013 for a wedding in Aug 2014. We had to move the date up to April 2014 and contacted Savories in Jan. there was no problem with change in date. Then 2 wks before wedding April 19th, we were informed the room we had booked was no longer available at the Edgewater but that they would be happy to handle the affair at their sister location the Inn on Lake Superior.
On the day of the wedding we had a pasta buffet but when I went through the line only 1 of the 2 pastas was present. When I asked about the 2nd pasta was told that "this is what the chef brought and this is what you are getting" Very unprofessional and when the contract was found and they realized they had made a mistake the offered only a small refund per plate. This was a small wedding of only 75 people and they couldn't get a simple menu right?
I am very disappointed in the whole process and would not recommend Savories to anyone for their special event. The food was good but when they can't follow a simple menu how can you count on them for a larger affair.
Disappointed mother of the bride.
