Solglimt is the perfect Duluth/North Shore accommodation. It's location is ideal. It is just across the beautiful lift bridge and a short walking distance from all that Canal Park has to offer. Its location right on the beach is second to none. The beach is separate from that of Canal Park and is much less crowded and more sandy!

The food was amazing. My fiance and I would take a morning walk before breakfast in order to have enough appetite for all that they offer.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, but not overdone. Each room has its own unique theme. The rooms were made up daily with fresh linens and towels.

Brian and Mary are the perfect inn-keepers. They were around when you needed them and had great recommendations. However, they also knew when to leave you alone and made us feel as comfortable as possible while we were there.

This is a great B+B. The innkeepers are very nice and wonderful. The food is amazing and the B+B itself is so nice.

The Solglimt Bed & Breakfast is a very nice, relaxing place to stay near canal park in Duluth. The house is located right on the other side of the lift bridge from canal park. Its walking distance- just over the bridge to all canal park has to offer. We liked being out of the busy hotels area at canal park. The house is right on the shore of Lake Superior. The rooms are ecletic, with a mix of antiques and art deco. Breakfast is served at a table in the home in front of huge windows overlooking the Lake. It was wonderful. The breakfast was very good and the inn keepers add special touches. More food than we could eat. The inn keepers are very kind and warm. They had great reccomendations of sight seeing and dining in the area. The bed in our room was so comfortable and the bedding was very clean and luxeriuos.
