By chance, we read about this place in 2006, and decided to give it a try. We had never stayed at a B&B before, so considered it an adventure we couldn't pass up. Little did we know that we would return at least twice a year, and have racked up over 25 nights there over the years. We've tried all different seasons and the experience is always wonderful. How can you go wrong with 5 miles of sand beach and the largest freshwater lake in the world right out out the back door? The food is always fresh, local and tasty. There are 3 rooms that face the big lake. One even has skylights, so the full moon shines through like a floodlight when you're there at the right time. We never get tired of watching the big ships come in and out through the canal. If you're so inclined, you can walk across the Aerial Lift Bridge into Canal Park and find lots of shops and places to eat. Or head out Scenic Hwy 61 along the lake for some other places to eat while enjoying the scenery. Brian and Mary are gracious hosts and a pleasure to get to know. You can even get iPhone/iPad lessons if needed! Highly recommended for time away!
