We stay at Country Inns quite often, and had a more than wonderful experience at this hotel. We arrived in Duluth to tour UMD and our son was sitting in on classes. The room actually felt clean (which it was), the breakfast was great with a nice variety not found in many hotels anymore. Many state that the breakfast room is small, which if the hotel is booked, it would be difficult to accomodate everyone - as most everyone tries to eat about the same time. It's not any smaller than most other hotels. There were more than enough extra towels, sheets and blankets for the cold Duluth weather. It was so quiet, we could have heard a pin drop. First hotel in a long time that we actually were able to sleep through the night without doors slamming until all hours. Location is great! Near the shopping plazas, not too far from the lake but far enough away from all the lake drive traffic. And Outback Steakhouse is right accross the parking lot. Would recommend to family and friends.

I was in Duluth on business with my assistant. We needed a large room where we could conduct business when not on site. Branden recommended a King Suite, which was just what we needed.

The room was spotless, the breakfast was great, staff awesome. Even had some time to check out the pool. The hotel is located very near a shopping mall, airport, and several resturants. We did drive downtown to and am very glad we were staying here.

This will be my number 1 choice when back in Duluth in a month

The only thing that was a lil goofy is when logging into the wireless it has a default setting to upgrade to a higher speed and wants to bill you. But the wireless worked great.

We even had some time to enjoy the pool and whirlpool

Took advantage of park and fly rates. On arriving back from arizona our luggage was tied up in the shute. Took over 40 min. To get luggage. The gentleman in the courtesy van waited for us all that time. Told him we would understand if he left. He said no. He would wait for us. Great service.

The rooms are clean, but not exceptional. Have fridges, micros, and flat screen TVs. But - the king size bed had poor back support. Perhaps the queen beds are better. Breakfast was good with lots of choices, but the breakfast area is rather small. Many people had to take tray with food and go back to their room. Staff friendly. But depending on when you stay it can be more expensive than other hotels. You can get lower price at the Comfort Inn West. Its an older property, but very well maintained.
