Description: Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.

“Excellent Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

The children's meals came with beautiful pieces of fruit. The wait staff were very polite and our food came quickly. I had a walleye fillet that was delicious but the wild rice with a wine sauce was very unique and an excellent side for the fish. The wild rice burger was huge and tasty.

“Try the fries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

The good stuff ranch fries are to die for. We have to stop in and get them every time we make a trip to Duluth. The wait here can sometimes be a long one, but it's because it is so popular.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

We had bicycle and wild rice burger. Both delicious and quite peculiar!!! They also make their own ranch dressing which I definitely could tell was different and better tasting than most right away. Strongly racommanded!!!

“Upper patio, not an enjoyable experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

Upper patio dining, extremely popular in the summer for the views (not the food!)
Unfortunately it is seat yourself, not hostess seating. This is a stupid idea. People waiting for a table hover over tables who are finishing their last mouthful or who have asked for their bill, jockeying for pole position with other waiting patrons. This is an embarrassing and unnecessary ritual.
Menu is "anything you want that's deep fried".
I would not eat there again.

“We sat outside”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Great food even though we didn't get the full menu because we sat outside. Very comfortable seating and great view of the Aerial Lift Bridge.
