My husband and I stayed at the Cotton Mansion in one of the carriage house rooms. The restoration of the building is beyond description. Intricately carved woodwork, stained glass and grand rooms look as they might have looked originally. There are a number of rooms on the second floor of the main house, but we chose to stay in the carriage house. There was another room adjacent to ours in the carriage house but it didn't deminish our feeling of intimacy. The beautiful fireplace, privacy, whilrpool tub was truely an escape. The bathroom and bed were comfortable. There was even a small CD player with relaxing cds to play, a nice touch. A short walk over to the main house in the morning for breakfast was a bit brisk, but we didn't mind. We dined with the other couples staying there in the main dining room. Ken and Kim know how to serve a fine meal. The food, grand atmosphere and conversation was very memorable. We do like our privacy, but sharing the meal with strangers in such a glorious setting was actually very special. Thanks to Ken and Kim for your hard work of restoring and sharing this gem and creating a unique get away.
