“Beautiful park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

The drive to Park Point is as cute as the park. The drive is on a long peninsula with homes on each side--some on the bayside and some on the lakeside. The lakeside has a sandy beach its entire length, with public access at several points. At the end of the drive is a beautiful park with seagulls, picnic tables, and public beaches. Beautiful views of the harbor and Duluth.

“Most relaxing beach around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Relax on a sandy beach and listen to the waves of Lake Superior, go for a swim or look for pretty rocks, you may even see a ship or two!

“Family fun at the beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Great playgrounds and family fun! Love it. However the rip currents can come through the beach.

“A mainly residential area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

With homes and local businesses on both sides of a two-lane street, access to Lake Superior and St Louis Bay is fairly limited. A nice park with a playground for the kids and a private airport mark the end of Park Point.

“Wear shoes in the summer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012 via mobile

I don't want to sound like a wuss, but we went in August and the sand was absolutely scalding hot (black flecks) and the water was freezing cold (50s?). We ended up standing on the foot-wide patch of wet sand. Ha! Wear your shoes.
I've bee to beaches all over the world and never quite experienced this. Otherwise, the sights are beautiful.
