I attended a business meeting and stayed at teh inn. I will come back sometime with friends and family. Located in Canal Park this is a perfect place for a Duluth stay. I had a room looking out on the lake. It was a little cold to go on the deck but there was a deck. I could hear the waves crashingon the sho0re.

Lots to do in the area, a lakewalk, many restaurants - Belision, Angie's Cantina, and Hells Kitchen.

We booked a room to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! The hotel is very busy...We chose to stay on a Monday night in August thinking that it wouldn't be too busy. We were wrong, the Inn was full.

We have stayed many times at the Inn and have noticed that customer service tends to lack when they are busy. I have high expectations when you spend over $100 a night for a room.

Duluth has become a popular tourist destination over the last 10 years and is very busy. It was fun watching the ships come in and walking around Canal Park.

This is an excellent and extremely family friendly hotel, located right on the lake. You can basically park your car and easily walk to everything Canal Park has to offer (restaurants, shops, the US Army Corp of Engineers Information Center and Museum, Aerial Lift Bridge, The DECC, the Vista Cruises etc, etc). The only time we had to get in our vehicle was to go to the Pickwick restaurant, and for a trip up the shore to Gooseberry Falls.

The staff was wonderful, going so far as to keep an eye out for a room opening when we wanted to stay an extra day. They procured a room for us, which was no small feat as it was Labor day weekend.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. We had no issues with any children running up and down the halls, which is surprising as the hotel was full of families. The pool was warm and clean, and they even had activities for the pre-school set in the evening in the pool area.

At night, from 8 to 10 PM, they had the Smores roast, and in the morning, a delicious hot breakfast.

In a nutshell, we'll be back.

This was a good location for a one night stay. The room was large, clean, and comfortable but nothing special. We had a city view, because it was the cheapest room available--and you can walk out of the hotel and see the lake! The breakfast was not memorable--typical hotel stuff--and the seating area was very crowded. We enjoyed the path along the lake, the choice of restaurants, and, of course, watching the ships come through the canal and under the Aerial Lift Bridge.
We chose to eat at Famous Dave's BBQ restaurant--great food and service. Canal Park is a quaint area and was fun for the one night we had in Duluth.
