“Depressing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

We called every hotel and they were sold out so we are forced to stay here. Starting off our room reeked like smoke. We found dead bugs in the bathroom, and pubic hairs on the nightstand. Along with no blankets in our room. Personally I would rather sleep in the gas station bathroom. Please go somewhere else or sleep in your car if u have too!!!

Worst place on our trip around lake Superior. Unfortunatly this was our first night stop. The place was grungy, EXPENSIVE for what you got. 100.00 for the night no breakfast,no coffee in the room and not very clean. just a nasty little hotel in a less than desirable area of town. The bed was like sleeping on plywwod, the air was cool at best and on a hot night not good. the desk person was very curt and straight to the point. not good

A pretty typical Motel 6 with minimal but adequate room, definitely the most economical place to stay in Duluth. WiFi was an extra $3.00 but even then the room was only about $53.00 total for one night. No coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave, but coffee was available in the lobby (night clerk accommodated our early 4:00 AM departure by making coffee early) and TV and WiFi signal were good. Room was large and had two double beds, table and chairs, and a small but adequate bath. Driving time to the airport was @ 20 min., at least in the early morning hours. Would stay again, particularly if only for a limited time.

The location of the motel was nice and convenient. It was only a five minute drive to Canal Park, close to highway 35, next to a gas station and places to eat. However it was also located next to a truck company so it was noisy in the morning. The room was clean and had the basic bed and tv. Our room didn't have a refrigerator. It was also inconvenient because there was no hair dryer and there were only limited channels on tv. You will also have to pay an extra $2.99/day for access to wifi at the motel. Overall I would say that if you don't plan on staying in the motel for long it is a good rate and location for a short weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Get a room not facing the truck company, it might be less noisy in the mornings if you are not an ea...

Get ready for this one, I'm a traveling musician, I stay in a lot of hotels...and this is by far the worst. My band stayed here because we played at cylde iron works and its super close...but its not worth it. The staff had barely a clue how to process credit cards. The room was filthy. Garbage in the bed, gum on the wall, not vacuumed. On top of that thru have security roaming the halls because past bad instances...which I won't get into. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else....

This was the first time we had stayed at this motel. It was extremely clean, but really plain. If you aren't looking for all the bells and whistles, this is the place! There is no fridge, microwave, coffee maker or hair dryer. There was one queen bed, one night table, 2 chairs and a table, a TV and a phone in our room. The carpet was obviously not old because it was clean and the bedding was clean as well. There were no bed bugs. This motel shares a parking lot with the Duluth Grill (which has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) which has great organic beef burgers, salads and their famous banana cream pie! The area seems a bit sketchy, but it was fine. We were there on a Saturday night and there were no problems. The motel is a short drive to downtown, as well as up the hill to the mall. We would recommend this to any traveller that is looking for an inexpensive and clean motel, with tax the room was $70 for two adults.
