“Campground doesn't seem to be the first priority.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

The campground has potential, but doesn't seem to be that high priority, as there are other facilities here. While the water/ electric sites are in a nice wooded area, the sites could be better groomed. They are also about a 4 minutes walk to the bathroom/ 4 minute showers, restaurant, and bar. If you do not care to make the walk, there are port-a-toilets randomly placed around. Again, no sewer hook ups in this area. The full hook ups, in a different area were trashy.

The restaurant, and bar were very nice. However, I did not dine in.

While the bathrooms were nice, and tidy. Paying 50 cents for 4 minutes of shower time is frustrating at best.

The service was below average, even though communications were very friendly. Arriving, and checking on our reservation was confusing.

This was one of the worst campgrounds I have ever stayed at! We get there and you have to check in at the restaurant that is on the facility. The staff had no idea what was going on, not sure if the lights were on upstairs. We asked them for some wood and the gal had no idea what kind of wood they had. She called someone to ask and they told her pine and oak. We got settled in and then the wood was delivery to our site. The wood was very unseasoned and would not burn at all!!!! They were huge pieces of wood that seemed like they were cut the week before. The camping area had portable bathrooms and trash cans for recycling. The next morning we went to take a shower only to find out that the showers were coin operated. you had to pay .50 for 4 minutes of running water. It's not a lot, but I already paid to stay here and now you are charging me to take a shower!!! come on!!!! It took at least 2-3min to get warm water, so we ended up taking very short showers. guess they must be trying to conserve water. There was construction going on at the time so if you need to get food or supplies be sure to get everything before you get there. several exits were closed and it took us about an hour to get supplies at the closest walmart and get back to the campground. I would not stay here again.
