“Pristine area of the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

The island and shoreline are so unique and beautiful. It felt like we were discovering a gem as it is not crowded with tourists. Lots of outdoor activities to keep you busy.

“Beautiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Great seashore, islands, lighthouses, sea caves! Primitive camping available and also nearby hotels. Great for kayaking and hiking. A definite must-see

“Apostle Islands”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

It is difficult to get a good view of the water and the islands. We did not realize the pine trees provided such a solid wall and they grow right to the water. There were a few places to catch a peak but not so much on a drive.

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The Apostle Island area is beautiful. It does not have the same feel as the Mn side of Lake Superior. The water is much more tranquil than the Mn Superior side. The ferry is a bit expensive as they charge per/vehicle plus per/person.

“Quaint, Beautiful, Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Stayed a week, took our tandem Hobie Kayak to the sea caves and other lake superior spots, hiked, biked, and loved it. No chain stores, all local. Go there!!! Stayed at Seagull Bay, the cottage is the best.
