5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Beautiful hotel - all rooms face the lake. The hotel is located near railroad tracks but is so well insulated that we didn't hear the trains when we were indoors. Room and public areas were spotless. Very comfortable beds and great pillows. Bathroom had a very nice ceramic tile shower. There was even lighting under the counter where towels were stored. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected with a baked egg dish, make your own waffles and pancakes and lots of fresh fruit as well as the usual toast, bagels, cereal. The public areas included nice gathering places for our group both indoors and out. There is a small beach, a large green space, lots of lounge chairs and picnic tables, bbq grills and 2 large fire pits. There's a nice boat dock and fish there for the catching. There were towels available to take to the beach and the pool area. There's an exercise room with new-looking equipment that we didn't use because the weather was great and we took advantage of the sidewalks. We'd definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Family stayed in a variety of rooms. Wasn't a bad one in the bunch!

Green Features: We were gently asked to re-use towels if possible. There were real dishes in the breakfast area rather than plastic.

Beautiful hotel, rooms generous in size and basic room includes small fridge and micro-wave. All rooms face the lake and have a balcony, quiet, peaceful view with a small beach and picnic tables. Clean pool area and hot tub plus a abundance of towels by the pool. Breakfast and staff superb, delicious different eggbake each day, breakfast goes until 10 and they don't start picking up until 10:30 which accommodates late arrivals. We loved staying here and highly recommend it!

We stayed here last weekend for a getaway. We haven't stayed here since they earned their premier distinction, and since we were pleased then we knew it was going to be nice now. We went to the open house so we have seen all the rooms available. They are all beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. All rooms face the lake and the sunset. It's the little touches that really make this a first class property. Warm towels are available when you check in as well as a refreshing pitcher of lemon ice water. The lobby is cozy and scenic. We had a $25 gift certificate so we decided to use it at the bar for some wine and an appetizer. The service was a little spotty that night, but we heard the bartender was new so we cut them some slack. The pool and hot tub are both equipped with a handicapped lift which is welcome. We have not used the spa ourselves but have heard positive reviews from friends who have used it. The breakfast was very good. They had a sausage and pepper bake that was very tasty, and they served the meal with cloth linens. We plan to have a spring getaway at the Lodge every year from now on. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: All rooms face the lake so there really isn't a bad one in the place.

I stayed here for a short business trip. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, furnishings tasteful and the bathroom exceptional. The complimentary breakfast was much better than most continental offerings, and the make your own waffles and flip-iron are both fun and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to anyone.

This hotel has it all except a full service restaurant, but even with a breakfast only service, it is a wonderful place to stay. They pride themselves on the eco-green atmosphere with biodegradable products and opportunities to re-use, re-new and refresh. The in-house spa features massages, facials, the whole pedi-mani routine. There is a perfect size pool and the rooms are fantastic. There is even a night light system in the bathrooms for any late night visits. Big oversize chairs to lounge in and comfy beds with beautiful linens. The staff is friendly and responsive. A great place to unwind and have an enjoyable glass of wine in the lobby while watching the sunset over the water.

Room Tip: All the rooms face the lake so there are no bad rooms....let them pick one for you.

We booked a jacuzzi lakeside suite and it was amazing. The view was great, the decor and staging of the room was very nice, beds were extremely comfortable and overall the hotel and room was super clean.
