My husband and stayed here overnight on the way to Northern Minnesota. Check in was smooth, our room was very clean, had a very comfortable bed, plenty of towels, and we had a good connection to the internet. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of food, with the hosts constantly refilling items, such as omelets, sausage patties, homemade waffles, fruit, and about anything you could of wanted. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will most likely stay here when in the area. Great job Americinn Hotel and Staff!

Offers all one would need when traveling. Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, free wifi, pool, and continental breakfast for the ages. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again when coming to town to visit family.

Stayed here for 3 weeks during an externship. Actually stayed in two different rooms here; each of them were clean and upkept - just things were a little bit old. The pool area was nice, but could get full of kids in the evening.

There is a cooler/freezer of things that you can buy (mostly over priced but nice to have them available if you needed). The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast; nothing disappointing and the grab and go items were always plentiful as well.

Shares a parking lot with the Country Kitchen, so if you wanted dinner etc over there you could. Just about 5 minutes outside of the downtown area of detroit lakes, so close to go grab groceries as well.

Stayed here one night to attend a wedding in town. The room was basic but clean. Pool was large. The breakfast that they hype wasn't that great - fatty sausage and frozen French toast, etc.

I'd check out other hotels in the area. I thought it was over priced for the ambience.
