“It's a hoot! But once is enough.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Surrounded by plexiglass, a massive ball of twine is a unique object of attention. Not far off State Highway 12, so if you are passing through and need a quick break, it is worth a five minute stop (if for no other reason than to jokingly proclaim at the water cooler that you have been there).

“Unique Place to Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

It's hard to imagine one man took the time to make the twine ball. What a spectacular thing to see. Well worth the trip. A great piece of Americana.

“Quirky, random stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

While there isn't much to see or do in Darwin (from what we can tell) if you're into fun and random attractions, you should stop and see the Twine of Ball. I don't know when the museum is open, but be sure to stop in if it is, otherwise, that's about it once you've taken pictures in front of the glass-enclosed ball.

There is a very neat little museum at the Twine Ball. Make sure to sign the book and visit the museum.

“Cool little town in the middle of Minnesota”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We stopped in Darwin MN. to see the Worlds Largest Ball of Twine made by one man. It just happened to be the day the town was holding their annual Twine fest!! They were very inviting to us outsiders and we had a great time talking with all of the locals and watching the Garden Tractor Pulls right down Main Street Darwin. We stopped in at the Twine Ball Museum and were pleasantly surprised to learn about the towns past connection to Major league Baseball.
We had great time here and go back again.
