As an annual vacationer to the Crane Lake Area, our group of 10 rented from Voyagaire for our trip. Throughout the trip we recieved horrible service, and were treated with a blatant lack of respect. Before arriving, we were asked to sign $3000 authorization that Mr. Janssen claimed was "only if you sank the boat."
Throughout the trip we did knick a few rocks, which is to be expected in the waters of Voyagaire's National Park. We were not offered insurance, and upon returning on the last day, an argument unfolded regarding the damage to our boat (which ran fine when it was returned)
We were treated poorly by the dock staff, including being cussed and and recieving the middle finger from them.
But It wasn't until we returned home and I got my credit card statement, to which the owner, Jim Janssen, charged over TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for 50 HOURS of labor costs, for a prop that he claimed was ruined.
In short, beware of this operation, because after looking up some history on past lawsuits with Voyagaire, (like a party almost dying from carbon monoxide poisoning), because they are only out for one thing: money.
Avoid Voyagaire at all costs. You'll see they will make you sign a waiver before they will let you rent any of their boats that covers there asses in any situation, be it your fault or theirs.
