All the local use to hangout at the Borderland but it was bought out and some jerk tried to the develop the land but never managed to sell even one lot. It was all part of the Grand Developement the never came. Anyway for 5 plus years Crane Lake has not had a local watering hole until the Bar and Grill opened. It is nothing special other than the staff is friendly, knows most of the folks and listens to the old war/snowmobile/fishing stories that make up the fabric of a small end of the road town ( being kind because C.L. has only about 100 full time residents, less than that in the winter. C.L. is really at the end of the road. Cross the lake by boat and your in Canada.
The locals show up around five during the week but around 9:00 on friday and saturday. The grill has good bar food and reasonable drink prices. Has a nice deck area that can be the place to have a sundowner and watch Crane Lake T.V. I enjoy the bacon turkey sandwich. So if your in Crane lake, the B&G is the place to go for a laid back, local flavored, friendly drink and eats.
