This is a great place to discover and learn about new perennials to plant in your garden. My husband and I just bought a house and had landscaping projects on the brain this summer. We walked around the Arboretum and saw various plants that we liked which we then snapped pictures of the flowers and the sign with the plant's name. Then we went and found the plants at the nearby Halla Nursery store (which is right near the Arboretum). Previously, I didn't know the names of plants or even know all the different colors of Hostas and Daylillies that were available. The Arboretum provides an eye-full of inspiration for your landscaping projects!

The arboretum is a true pleasure for those who enjoy flowers and the beauty of the outdoors. As we entered the arboretum we were greeted with cleverly decorated "people" made out of gourds and pumpkins and costumes. One of my favorites was the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz. The arboretum includes rose gardens that are breathtaking. When we went, the azaleas were in bloom and were absolutely gorgeous. Don't forget your camera. Numerous weddings on the day we went but there is plenty room so we never felt crowded. We took the walk around the swamp area and there are several different length trails for you to choose from. The waterfall was pretty. We also took the 3 mile drive around the arboretum. There were many opportunities to pull off and explore many of the areas. This is a place you could definitely go back to several times or spend a couple of hours in a day. I would love to return at different seasons of the year. I am sure each season will have its own beauty

Hadn't been here in years, and this was our second time visiting this month. What a gem! An absolute delight to stroll through the many gardens, groves and buildings. There is so much to see and learn here and all done in a very welcoming relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are pretty much entirely accessible for those with disabilities. The staff are engaging and knowledgeable. There is a very nice cafe and great gift shoppe. When we visited there were a number of weddings taking place throughout the grounds and that did make for some long lines in traffic.

Very cool, like living sculptures, we definately need to come back and spend some more time wandering around.
