“It still has the new hotel smell!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2012 via mobile

I was able to check in just a tad early - that was a plus. The room was perfectly matched to my HHonors profile - impressive. The food items I ordered before I got there were delivered and put in the fridge - and - they were worth every penny - awesome.

Very clean, modern and well run Embassy. Best hotel in a 20 mile radius. Easily.

I stay in the hotel regularly throughout the year on business, and am extremely impressed with the level of service. I live out of state and travel all over the Midwest, but my office is close to this location, so I am there several times a month. Out of all the hotels I stay in, this is by far the best place that I stay. The difference is the people.....Jim, Ashley, Romeo, Tom, Nester, Reggie, Nora....just to name a few. From the management team to the front desk team, and kitchen/bar associates, they truly understand how to drive a customer service environment. If you are looking for a place to stay on business, this hotel is a great choice.

I stayed here with my son's hockey team and would highly recommend this property. I have stayed in hotels all over Canada, US and Asia and this ranks as one of my favorites. Its modern, clean and most of all use friendly. I loved this place!

This is a gorgeous property with a different room layout from other Embassy Suites. Though I prefer a king room, I did get 2 queens, and the layout and size was unique. The staff was very pleasant and you would never guess a hotel with this decor is tucked into the suburbs. This was a nice change from some of the standard run of the mill Embassy Suites

We have stayed at the St Paul Embassy Suites in the past and have always had great experiences. This was our first stay at the Brooklyn Center Embassy Suites and it was equally excellent.

Our room was very clean and comfortable and actually felt more like a small apartment than just a hotel room. Having the mini fridge and microwave in the room is very handy, especially for longer stays. With two TV's in the room, there was no arguing over who got to watch what. The mattress was very comfortable and we never heard any noise from other rooms.

Of course, the best part of all Embassy Suites is the breakfast. It is definitely worth staying here just for the breakfast. Cooked to order and delicious. Lots of choices and everything is really fresh. There is also plenty of seating so you never have to wait for a table.

We really appreciated how fast the elevators were. We've stayed at other hotels where waiting for the elevator became quite an ordeal but that's not the case here. The workout facilities are very nice. Plenty of free onsite parking. The hotel is conveniently located near I-94 and 694.

Every member of the staff was wonderful, from the front desk personnel to the chefs to the housekeepers and maintenance. Always went out of their way to greet you and were always friendly.

Overall, we had a great stay at the Embassy Suites and will definitely return there whenever we're in the Twin Cities.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nice view

Your average hotel, it is in quite a good location, but you must have a car. General cleanliness is ok, the rooms are very normal, nothing fancy or exciting, the it'll-do-the-job sort of thing.

Service was mostly good, except for the one front desk clerk that was below par. She was sullen and had an attitude, a stark contrast to the rest of the staff who were service-oriented and very pleasant. That one's gotta go, she's bringing the service level of the rest of the team way down.

Breakfast was pretty good with made to order eggs and the usual buffet-type items. Toiletries by Crabtree and Evelyn. No robe or slippers, which would have been needed for the cold bathroom tile floors. Lifts smelt like skunk when I was there, although all the women thought it was skunk, all the men thought it was [---].

Room Tip: All the rooms will pretty much have a good view, there isn't much surrounding the building. Roo...

Embassy-BC, Manager at Embassy Suites Minneapolis - North, responded to this review, October 13, 2011
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with an outlook of your experience while visiting our property.

Within your review I noted the mediocre feeling you received from our facility. As a Manager of the Embassy Suites Minneapolis-North, we are always looking for new ways, products and services we can provide our guests that will allow you to rate us as a “10”. It concerns me you were not able to rate us that “10” we strive for, and I will be voicing your concerns with the rest of our staff at our next daily gathering.

In looking for new ways to go that extra mile for our guests and I have relayed your suggestions of a robe and slippers for those cold tile floors, and very much so appreciate your input.

We will look forward to serving you on your next visit to the area and sincerely hope you will have the opportunity to experience the exceptional environment we try to create for our guests.

Again, thank you for your response and for taking the time to let us know your opinion; please know that we value your business and we look forward to being of service to you in the very near future.

I stayed in this hotel on my business trip. I am always fan of Embassy suites.. the lobby of the hotel is awesome and adjoining is the manager's area for evening drinks. I love this place where you sit in the evening. sit with frnds and enjoy the drinks. The hotel is very clean and looks like its a new property. Beds are great and really comfortable. Very near to some very good food and shopping malls.

Room Tip: Try to be in the higher floors for better view from your window.
