“Great Lunch with Huge Portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

A fun place for lunch. They have a dock for boaters to pull up. Very casual...ate their twice...once had a guitar player. Food is simple but tasty especially hamburgers....Waitresses are friendly and food comes out very fast....

“Great on gull”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Ernie's is a great place for a casual evening meal on the shores of beautiful gull lake, no pretense here, great tasting food served by an attentive staff on one of the Brainerd lakes best outdoor patios. The lobster bisque was a delightful surprise. The humus app. Was the perfect a compliant to our before dinner drinks. What a view! What a great place to enjoy a perfect Minnesota evening with someone special!

“Great hangout!”

We ate outside on their deck and the views were fantastic! The food was very good, but not great. The service was very good and very accomadating! I would go back in a heartbeat!

“Yummy local fare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

This was my first trip to Minnesota, so I was excited to get a recommendation for a good local spot for food and beer. They had a great beer list with a lot of Minnesota brews on tap, and even a hyper local favorite that I tried and loved (Fencepine by Jack Pine in Baxter). Also, the two local things I was told to seek out were both there: walleye and cheese curds! The portions were big and the views of Gull Lake were great. Sit outside and just watch the boats come in and out for a perfect afternoon. Although as a side note, I've heard it has a pretty different crowd/vibe at night.

“Crazy (and delicious) Burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Docked the boat at about 7:00 on a Monday night and there was about a 20 minute wait for a table outside. No problem, since they have an outdoor bar. It was crowded too, with some lively people, but we found 4 chairs at the bar and ordered drinks. They were good, bartender was nice, but the smoking and smell of stale trash forced us to move. We found chairs with a view of the lake on the shore and drank there until table was ready. Very nice. The dinner menu was big and interesting. Could have orders almost anything on it. Lucky to have gotten the "It's not my first rodeo" Hamburger. Amazing. Wanted to try the burger with Peanut Butter on it, but went for the Thai Chicken sandwich instead. Should have ordered the burger. In any case, everyone was happy with their food, and we would recommend Ernie's for a good lakeside meal.
