“1st Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed for the first time for a last minute weekend get away. We found the hotel very nice. We were upgraded to the Club floor upon check-in. Although we didn't use any of the benefits it was nice. We checked in and immediately noticed the noise from the air handling system on the roof. Club floor is the top (6h) floor. BUT... no problem. The beds and pillows were amazing. No problem sleeping at all. Nice room darkening drapes. It was really nice and we will absolutely stay again if the price is right. We are frequent travelers to the Minneapolis area and have stayed in a lot of the Mall of America area hotels. This is one of the best.
Only complaint.... only 2 bath towels. Both days?

A pet friendly hotel with large rooms and super comfy, pillow-top beds. For your pooch, they offer a dog treat and poop bags at check-in and the room service menu includes dog food. The 540 metro bus stop is at the entrance lane to the hotel, which makes for easy access to the Mall of America.

We stayed here for 3 days for my brothers wedding. The wedding was held at the hotel. Everything went fantastic and the stay was very pleasant. The staff (both helping with the wedding and the front desk staff) were all very polite, friendly, and professional. When checking out, I had to tell the front desk clerk that my 4 year old nephew hung from the towel bar in one of my rooms and broke it off. I felt horrible having to admit this to them but the desk clerk told me not to worry, they have maintenance people for that and they would not bill us for it. I was FLOORED! I thought for certain I would have received a huge bill for it. All in all, this place exceeded my expectations.

We flew in to do a little shopping and stayed at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. The staff that greeted us were very professional and friendly. They provided us with information regarding the Mall of America, the restaurant and bar and all the features of our rooms. The hotel in less than ten minutes from the MOA which made it very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is not a 4-star hotel. They can claim that, but they would be wrong. Maybe it's a 4-star business hotel, but not your standard 4-star. To begin with, if you're a 4-star hotel, there is someone to help you with your bags. When my wife and I pulled up, there was no one to help us with our bags or even to greet us.

Secondly, you can tell this is a business hotel because they have free wi-fi, however, in your room it will cost you $9.95 a day. It makes no sense to me to offer free internet right outside your room, yet the moment you enter the room it cost money.

The room was alright. The TV was an okay size for the room. There was a desk which was a nice size and chair for those of you who were working.

The bed was alright. It wasnt overly comfortable, but by no means was the worse bed I had ever stayed in. The pillows were weird. They were fluffy while being un-malleable at the same time.

You can tell that the hotel is a bit older. It needs to be updated if it wants to be a true four star.

The staff was very helpful and had a crib sent to the room for our child and when we asked for extra towels, they were there in under 5 minutes. The check in was easy and we were in our room in under 10 minutes.

We looked at the restaurant, but the prices seems ludicrous for a restaurant in a hotel. Minneapolis has a number of amazing restaurants that you could eat at for less.

It is a business hotel, made for people who can simply put things on an expense account and be reimbursed for them. It wasnt bad, it just wasnt that great.

We came to Minneapolis for a wedding. The Sheraton is the old Sofitel Hotel where we had stayed previously. We're very happy to see that Jade at the front desk was still there after the change over. She had treated us very well in the past as she did this time as well as Andrew who is one of the managers. Things were a little hectic as Obama was in town for a fundraiser. The staff did a great job considering it must have been stressful with all the security. The rooms were excellent and the beds very comfortable. It will definitely be our place to stay in the Twin Cities.
