This is an older hotel and could use some updating. However, the advantage for us was being able to stay there overnight, take the shuttle to the airport in the morning for our vacation flight, which worked well. We were able to leave our car the the hotel safely for a week, at no charge.
Upon our return, the shuttle was there to pick us up right on time, with great service from Chandler, our shuttle driver who handled all of our bags, gave us bottles of water to drink on the way back to the hotel, took us directly to our car and loaded up our luggage. He was extremely personable and very helpful. A very pleasant experience!!

I boarded the hotel shuttle from the airport, only to be squashed by the huge number of passengers crammed into the tiny shuttle. There was not even enough room for a family with small children so they had to wait for another shuttle. The shuttle didn't come often enough, I asked the driver if this was pretty common, and he said that it was like that all the time.

1. get more shuttles

Once we got to the hotel, I was first in line at the check in counter and asked the desk clerk if they were going to call someone to help him with the line of 20 people behind me. He said he was on his own! These people behind me probably had to wait a half hour in line just to get to their rooms because the hotel was understaffed.

2. get more desk staff

I got to my non smoking room. I turned on the lights and noticed there were cigarette burn holes in the comforter. I took a shower and the water wouldn't drain. I went to go to sleep and the pillows were so overstuffed that they were pretty close to unusable, laid down in the bed and it was worn down to the inner spring, poking me in the back while my feet hung off the edge of this tiny bed. I'm 6'2", not the tallest person in the world.

3. get new beds, comforters, shower drains

I called the management to complain, but the best they would do is refund $20 off of my rate and give me a special rate the next time I was in Minneapolis, a city I have never visited nary a lay-over. I am never visiting this awful faux-indian lodge again.

Loved the location,so close to the Mall and the airport and the shuttle service was more than I had expected always on time.The staff were very friendly and polite.The restaurant had very good food and a good variety.The rooms very large and clean,and the pool large and warm.What can I say but stay there if you have a chance you will love it.

My family and I planned a trip to Minneapolis in Decemeber 2007 and stayed at the Ramada "Mall of America" Hotel. I always just thought a hotel is a hotel. That is not the case. The Staff at the Ramada "Mall of America" hotel was extremely courteous and helpful. From the Mananagement to the drivers to the front desk staff. They made our vacation a lot more enjoyable due to their sincere desire to provided each and every guest the highest level of hospitality. They were very successful and I thank all of them very much, because they all were a big reason that we had a wonderful time. An extra special thanks goes out to Jim, Kendra, MC, and Chandler for their hospitality. I truly felt more like a guest at thier home, rather than a guest at a hotel. As for the hotel accommodations and ametities, I was very please with all of them. The room was spacious and clean with ample space to keep luggage and other items. The gym area and swimming pool was also very impressive. My children spent quite some time in both areas. The hotel also has an on site restaurant serving throughout the day. Food was terrific. For the older crowd they also had a bar with live entertainment.
What more can I say about this hotel. It was a great experience from start to finish. I just can't wait for the next time.
If you are travelling to the Minneapolis area, this is definately the hotel to stay at, no question about it.
