“Clean, comfortable with entertainment options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We stayed one night at the Quality Inn on our way up north to the UP. The location is very convenient as it is right off of 75 so an easy off and on. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Ours rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and updated. My only complaint would be that our room overlooked the pool area and there were a lot of kids in the hotel running up and down the hallways and screaming in the pool area until the pool closed. There was a bachelorette party going on too. Now that I know this, I would request a room on the outside of the hotel but this was a minor annoyance. We ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel for breakfast and the food was good and reasonably priced. Overall I would say a good value for the price we paid (we did use a discount on the room). We would stay again.

I stayed here overnight with my daughter& was a little diappointed for the price per night. This hotel is very clean& nice looking outside but the inside needs cleaning out& updating. There was old carpets/ wall paper and too many pictures etc... all over. It was overcrowded with junk everywhere. The room was ok& the bed was comfy but the bathroom tub was black on the bottom. Like I said some TLC is needed. AC was really old& loud. Pool area was nice. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. Great location across from the oulet mall& AppleBees. I would try the Super 8 beside this hotel next time.

We stayed in West Branch on the way back from Mackinac Island, it is a standard motel, but with a very interesting hunting/fishing decoration, so it really is unique for the kind of establishment. We did not use the indoor pool/spa, but they looked inviting, we loved the restaurant next door, the Lumber Jack, food and service were great, we spent most of our time checking out the store in the restaurant and reading all the signs. Would definetely stop here again.

Room Tip: The "inside" rooms have no window to the outside, just to the inside swimming pool area, s...

Although this time out I did not stay at the Inn, I did enjoy lunch at their connected restaurant.
This experience is always a fave when traveling north. Had the best roast beef sandwich, free wi-fi which helped to tie up a loose end while on the road and service was great. This venue is lovely in decor with the "up north" knotty pine ambience and fun menu options. If you stop at exit 212 heading or departing north, this is the place to have your meals. Gift shop, gas next door and yes you can spend the night if needed. Give this place a try, you will love it!

My husband and I booked the honeymoon suite for a Saturday evening, to celebrate our anniversary. The desk clerk at check-in was very nice. Our room looked great when we walked in. Upon looking around, could have used a deep cleaning, but nothing that was too terrible. Its an old hotel and could probably use an updating soon, but still, nothing to complain about. We had a very large Jacuzzi in the bedroom area and couldn't wait to jump in. It took a long time to fill and the jets were so soft that we could barely feel them. The living room area was nice to relax at night. It had a sliding door out to the pool area. Wish the pool would have been opened later though. Bed was very comfortable. My husband got sick during the night and I called down to the desk in the morning and asked if the room was available for another evening and explained the situation. The desk clerk was not very friendly and acted like I was bothering her. I did ask housekeeping to come and change our linens on our bed and bring us some extra towels and she finally showed up 5 hours later. I tried to make conversation with her and she wasn't very friendly either. We did get dinner at The Lumberjack downstairs that evening and had great food and service. We didn't have a great night of sleep that evening however. There were people slamming their doors and running down the hallways all night.
In closing, the hotel wasn't the worst we had been at, and our room was pretty nice, but I don't know if we would stay again. The price of the room was a little too much for the area and for what we got.

We recently stayed at Quality Inn in West Branch overnight on our way to Mackinaw City. The hotel was clean and staff was helpful. Check in was fast, room was clean and was a nice overnight stay. It was convenient to stay here on the way to our other destinations. We have stayed at this hotel twice and received excellant service. The decor was very unusual but enjoyed seeing everything. Convenient with Lumbar Jack Restaurant next door and close to interstate.

Room Tip: Better to stay with balconey not facing pool area. Noise from pool could be a problem with sleep if...

Hotel overall was a little dated.....the pool area is the nicest part of the hotel, looks like it was remodeled recently. Rooms are very dated and not cleaned to standard. Bathrooms are very small and cramped . Overall it will do in a pinch .
