A fairly large family group (17) of us descended on Indianhead near the end of February for a weekend of fun and skiing. We had an absolute BLAST. The runs were well-groomed (awesome corduroy in the morning), the staff was extremely friendly, and the weather was gorgeous. The funny thing about the UP is that you can wake up to below-zero temps and by the time you get to the hill, the temp has climbed to a lovely 20 or 30 above.
We loved the bar at the bottom of the hill. It was in a great location to watch the skiers and the atmosphere was old-school fun. No mountain snobs here.
Our second day was a bit more crowded than the first, but that just meant more great skiers to share the slopes with. We enjoyed the costumed skiers too. What fun! We will definitely be back next year!
