“Test your nerves”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

A very well marked hiking trail rings you to this fantastic bridge. The views are fantastic in every direction. The glacier is soo close. Dare your family members to look down from the bridge. Cross it and you will feel good. A great one day trip, beautiful hiking all day long.

We went by car.. but this place is well connected by public transport.
from base, you take cable car..only 8 people at a time... take you to the top station...you have cafe/food and toilet facility here... from here you have to walk for 1:30 to 2:00 hrs depending on you speed... you climb 800-900 feet height ..this is one way time..you have to come back same distance to catch the Triftbahn... this is type T2 hike ... so be prepared with proper gears...drinking water/fruits etc... the bridge is 170 meter long and 100 meter above the glacier...walking on the bridge from one end to other and back is most trilling experience...view around this place is mind blowing ... over all worth challenging you limit and height of fear..

“Amazing suspension bridge! Worth the hike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

Relatively unknown and a bit of a hike, but absolutely worth every drop of sweat. Take the Triftbahn (cable car) a few miles east of Innertkirchen and then from the top you hike up the mountain. There is about 1,000 feet of elevation gain in a mile and a half, but then you arrive at the bridge. Wow! The bridge is suspended 350 feet above a gorge and glacial lake and is 900 feet long. It's worth the trip just to walk across the bridge, but the views of mountains, glaciers, lakes, and wildflowers tops it off.
Food and restrooms are at the top of the cable car, but there are no facilities at the bridge. There is an alpen house on a side trail with food and lodging.
