My wife and I discovered the Warwickshire Inn through Lanier's B&B website and reserved a stay for August 2-6. My son had planned to be married in T.C. that weekend, and we allowed a little extra time to do some sight seeing. Were were happy that we did. We were pleasantly surprised to find a location in Traverse City that charged a very reasonable $75.00 /night and included breakfast. We found Dan and Roberta Warwick to be charming hosts who immediately made us feel welcome and at home.
Our room and the bed were very comfortable, and we found ourselves sleeping very well - even better than at home! We never spent much time in the room - usually leaving right after breakfast to explore the beautiful surroundings (and wineries) in that area. There's a good reason that Dan takes pride in his breakfasts - he's a very good cook. Bowls of fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, and hot, tasty breakfast entrees were served in elegant style every morning. We found homemade cookies on the table in the afternoon.
The B&B is located off the beaten path (almost hidden from the road) but close enough to town to get there in 5 minutes. It sits next to an antique shop and almost across the street from a golf course.
We'd eventually like to return to see more of the area. If we do, we'll definitely stay again at the Warwickshire.
