Excellent food, impecable service, charming atmosphere, and shall I say it again, excellent food. I have had the pleasure of dining at Stella's twice now and am anticipating a return trip as soon as possible. The Chef prides himself on providing farm to table meals that change on a daily basis dependent on what is available; so the quality of the products is outstanding. To their credit the names of the farms, etc are displayed on the menu, a nice touch. It is obvious attention to service is a priority. Both of our servers were very knowledgeable about the menu, how the dishes were prepared and had tasted the offerings of the day. I wish that all restaurants would understand that servers should taste the dishes that are offered. In my opinion, service can enhance or ruin the meal. Kudos apply here. The appetizers were unique and each offering is perfect for sharing. Our favorite is the Carpaccio but there are many other small plates or sandwiches to share, making for a delightful lunch. The Mozarella cheese is prepared in house and made fresh daily, don't miss ordering some in the various presentations. The main entrees were amazing. Two of us in the party had the Linguini in red sauce with the Venison Pork Meatballs. It was fresh and incredibly flavorful. The homemade pasta enhanced the dish to perfection. We also enjoyed the wood fired thin crust red sauce pizza with house made sausage and pepperoni with cheese. It was a sizeable pizza that 4 of us shared. The wine and cocktail selections are extensive and picked to compliment the dishes. Staff is knowledgeable about the wine and available to assist you if you need. The location is charming, located in the lower level of an old Sanitorium. Warm and inviting with lots of small and intimate dining areas. Be sure to request information on its history. This restaurant and its Chef truly deserve their James Beard Award. I can't recommend it enough.
