We recently had a dinner at Minerva's, located in the Park Place Hotel, in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. The hotel lobby is lovely, as the restaurant decor. Seating arrangements vary, with many tables/booths overlooking the streets, with large windows. We (3 of us) got the Chicken Comodora, and it was at best, average. The sauce was good, the pasta ok, but the chicken was quite overdone. The taste was average, and I expected much more. The desserts were wonderful, however!
I had the Choc Cake with rasberry filling, and DH got the Choc Brownie with ice cream. Those were superb! Service was spotty-the waitress was very nice, but rarely showed during the entire meal. I expected much better at this level of restaurant and location.

I would give them 3.5 points instead of 3, but didn't have that choice for rating...
They have a pretty good breakfast menu and all the food presentation is nice. For example, a plain bowl of oatmeal comes with pieces of fresh fruits & dried cherries. Caramel roll with powdered surger on a big plate. Not too expensive at all either for a hotel restaurant like this.
Dinner & lunch are nice as well, the food I've ordered always had met my expectation.
Services vary depends on the server.

All around wonderful. The first time I went my friend and I were looking for a cider mill in the area, and the waiter was so friendly, he actually got online in the lobby of the hotel and printed out a list of orchards and mills for us. Now that's customer service! The food was excellent...had a quiche the first time, then went back last night and had the seafood jamalaya. Very yummy!

Location was excellent and they made a mean mojito. It's frustrating to go to an upscale restaurant or bar and get iced tea out of a fountain instead of fresh-brewed. All members of our party commented. on this.

Minervas has a great locale inside of the historic Park Place Hotel in Downtown Traverse City. Service is great and they have the only nightime 9-11 happy hour in TC. 1/2 off there awesome brick oven pizzas, and other appetizers, $1-2 well drinks , etc. Also they have the "top of the park" which is a non smoking martini bar at the top of the hotel.
