We ended up here on a very busy summer night in Traverse. Downtown Traverse City can be challenging in the summer; lots of tourists! You either need reservations at anywhere in the top 10 on Tripadvisor's list, or be ready to wait for 30-40 minutes for a table at other places! We were starving, and fast running out of quarters for the meters. Husband had picked up a brochure somewhere of breweries in the TC area & came up with the idea of going to the Filling Station! We are fans of micro brew, and although the menu is limited here to flatbread pizzas and salads, they do a great job at it! All the employees we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. They were all really great, and thanked us for coming on our way out. Our salad and flatbread were served pretty quickly and tasted excellent. We enjoyed the Eurail Salad with kalamata olives, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, roasted red peppers & a housemade Greek dressing. Our flatbread pizza was the Spartan with crimini mushrooms, pepperoni, prosciutto, olives, red onions & marinara. Cute old railstation with outdoor seating area (shaded) & their own generous parking lot. We got a sampler tray in order to be able to try more of their beer. You place your order at the bar, are given your drinks & a number to put on your table for them to bring your food. If you want more beer or food, go back to the counter to re-order. It was also a very inexpensive meal. Thumbs up! Would go back!
