Ok folks, lets get this straight right out of the box. This isn't the Hilton or Hyatt, it's a Super 8!! You aren't going to get all the bells and whistles here, it's a sleep on the cheap place, and it's dirt cheap to stay here (rack rate was $40 and you can get it even cheaper on Priceline).
Plain and simple, this is actually a bit better than the average no frills hotel. Room was very clean, carpets were clean, bed was average comfort, shower had great water pressure. There was a hairdryer, but no iron. The room also had a small coffee pot. The rooms ac/heater unit was one of the quietest units we have ever had for a budget hotel, you couldn't even hear it at all. The hotel also had a decent little breakfast (nothing spectacular) but it had bagels, cereal, fruits, yogurt, and somebody did complain in an earlier review that there was no waffle maker, BUT I am happy to now report there is a waffle maker!
Our biggest negative, which seems to be the common complaint, is noise outside your room and the thin walls. With your tv on you couldn't hear anything, and the noise was not noticable. However when you went to bed you heard road noise, doors opening and closing, the ice machine ect. We read previous reviews before we went and brought some ear plugs, so we were just fine. However I could see where this will aggrevate some folks, heck most folks.
So overall the place is a very decent stay for what you pay, and I would say better than average for a one to two star hotel. Super 8...Not Great...but above average...which is pretty good for a budget hotel! Just remember to pack the ear plugs!
Room Tip: Ask for a room on the far end of the hotel away from the road, and bring ear plugs!
