Small place, but when you see the firewood out back, you know something unusual is going on. The Bakery is quite small, but busy, with a case of cookies and sweets, backed up by racks of some beautiful bread. You can see the baker moving the loaves out of the oven in the back.
We felt savory, more than sweet, so we were eyeing a 'breakfast pie.' It was a little turnover of sundried tomatoes, carmelized onions, kale, and potatoes that sounded good. They offered to 'warm it up' for us in the oven (no microwaves in this place), and for about $5 we had one of the best little meals we'd had in a long while. Very flaky crust, and astounding filling. It was gone in about 30 seconds, and we wished we had a couple more. Next time.
