“Great Stay...Would Definitely Stay Again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

I was in town for business and had to make last minute reservations. Needless to say, in the middle of tourism season and film festival, all rates were high. We selected Cambria and am sure glad we did! Never heard of it before, but will look for it in the future. The service was excellent from the time we walked in the door to check out. We were greeted with a smile and hello by all workers, and the front desk staff were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and other questions. They even have free shuttle service!

The room was very nice and clean with a comfortable big bed! The bathroom had a huge doorless shower with large showerhead and plenty of room. I don't like bathtubs at hotels so this was a big plus in my book. Plus, I hate messing with shower curtains and this has a partial enclosure that was perfect for a fussy bathroom person. The bathroom was plenty big otherwise. Soft lighting isn't great for getting ready in the morning though.

Suite area cozy with its own flat screen, fridge, etc. and bedroom was awesome with another flat screen. Slept like a baby.

The lobby area really impressed me with its cool bar and restaurant area...eclectic and cool. There is also a little area to the right upon entering hotel where they have live music on weekends I was told. They were setting up on the Thursday we were there because the film fest was underway.

I would recommend this for a relaxing stay. If you want a waterfront view, this doesn't have that, and is geared toward the business person, but I can't imagine not enjoying a stay here!

Room Tip: Was told 3rd floor was the place to be.

If you are looking for a beach front hotel this is not the place. If you want a hotel that has a "downtown city feel" this is the place. I loved it. It was super clean. When I first walked in the room there is a "WOW" factor, but proved later to be a little more show then go. It was nice to be able to watch TV in another area then the bed. The desk area was also very nice. The Internet connection was SUPER FAST. If you need to do some work on the internet this place is the best I have encountered in any hotel. The bathrooms are like the ones you find in Europe, no door or curtain on the shower, just a glass panel. I must say the showers are huge so I did not find my prior comment a negative.
The pool was great. For the price breakfast was great. We (wife and I) used it as "home base" to visit all the sights of Traverse City. If you want some beach time there are enough choices close by. If you are looking for a family vacation place for kids and need a beach front hotel look else where.
I really liked the place and would stay again.

Room Tip: Since there are no "real" views, pick a first floor room. I liked a vaulted ceilings. Pl...

This hotel is new, modern, and includes all of the amenities required for the business traveler or families with children who have Kindles, iPads and iPhones. There is an inexpensive hot breakfast in a bright dining area, a bar in fireplace, and it is centrally located to anything you might want to do in Traverse City.

This hotel is practically brand new. I couldn't find a single sign of wear and tear in my room. The room itself was the standard Cambria layout, which is perfect for a single traveler. The property was quiet, which is rare for a tourist town like Traverse City. The restaurant had a very eclectic, if not overly upscale, dinner menu. That said, the food was quite good. No, there is no complimentary breakfast, but if all of the complainers probably would have done their research they'd find that free breakfast is not something offered under the Cambria brand. This hotel delivered exactly what was promised, with extremely friendly staff on top of that. I'll be back!

The hotel is nice but overpriced for what you get. The glass shower does not have a door so the back side is open and water can get on the floor in the bathroom. Parking is an issue. The overflow lot is not marked. Bed was comfortable. Food is a little expensive

it was a fine place to stay. Clean rooms but a very loud hotel. I got stuck next to the party room and it was so bad the police came my second night since the hotel could not take care of it. They compt my room for the second night but still, 2 nights and zero sleep.

Still a fabulous, clean, friendly place to stay.
Still not on the beach (haha)!
If it were on the beach, this hotel would be truly great!!!
Parking is fine. Newspaper delivered in a.m.

This is the only place to stay in T.C.
