My husband and I often stay at Comfort Inns when we travel for the value and the hot breakfast. This is the best of all the ones that we have used. The property was immaculate inside and out. The lobby area was inviting. Even the pool area was clean and well-maintained. The front staff was very helpful and made great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Our room was larger than expected with a microwave, fridge, and coffee-maker. New white bedding was so comfy! The hotel was fully booked, but the staff managed to keep up with the breakfast area and responded promptly to any concerns. The only problem we found was that the parking lot was very full so people parked in aisle ways and fire lanes making it difficult to get in and out in the evenings.

We were really shocked at how clean the Comfort Inns are. That is one thing we don't like about traveling. We always bring our own linens and such. I usually go through and take a soapy cloth and hot water and go over handles, switchplates, etc. My cloth came back clean ... no marks on walls etc ... how nice was that.
This was a pleasant surprise.
One thing though I noticed when I sat down in lobby for an hour I noticed people coming up to desk and standing waiting on someone to help them. It seems that people working were in the back not paying attention to the front desk.

Other then that our stay was great.

I can't remember the last time that we stayed at a hotel where the ENTIRE STAFF, spoke english, were kind and helpful and the accomodations were excellent in every respect. This is it! Hitting on all cylinders.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back of the buidling. Main highway out front can be a bit noisy.

my wife is paralyzed. we travel with a wheelchair to use in the shower. every room.. except here.. the roll-in shower was the size of a standard tub... sans the tub. checked in late at night to find the roll-in shower is the size of a single person shower. problem is how an attendant (me) can bathe her w/o enough room to be in the shower too. oh... but the bathroom is smaller so they could fit a jacuzzi in the bedroom. think about it: someone who can't get in a bath tub wants a room with a jacuzzi? isn't a jacuzzi... a bath tub? never will be back. if there was any option to find another hotel, we'd be gone.. but it's a color tour weekend. won't be back... oh, everything else seems ok. rooms are small. of course, ours would be bigger if not for the jacuzzi that we can't use and never wanted to begin with...

Room Tip: try the holiday inn express for a roll-in shower.. but book early, they only have 1 room...

We stayed here 2 nights Sept 27 & 28 and enjoyed this hotel very much. We had a king jacuzzi room and found it to be very clean. The bed was a bit soft for us as we have a extra firm mattress at home. Check in was a breeze. Asked for a few extra pillows and they arrived quickly. The jacuzzi was a 2 person tub and must say we didn't run out of hot water filling that up. Thought the shower was a odd shape & a bit small. Free breakfast was good, they had the usualy scrambled eggs, sausage, 3 kinds of fresh fruit, 2 "flavors" of make it yourself waffles, various pastries, biscuits & gravy, cereal & juices. They do have an indoor pool & hot tub that is open 24/7 and noticed that they actually had 2 chair lifts for handicapped to access the pool & hot tub. I thought that was a nice amenity that I have only seen one time b4. I would stay here again if I was in the area & would recommend to others.

Room Tip: Highest floor, cuts down on noise.

We stayed in a king jacuzzi room. The staff was friendly right from check-in to check-out and all along the way. Breakfast seemed a bit better than average for a continental breakfast. Downtown Traverse City was 5-10 away, so the location was just right. Parking was tight when arriving back at the hotel late at night. I found the bed to be way too firm, while my wife thought it wasn't a problem.
